Fire department hosting fall fest, market

The Glade Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a fall fest and flea market on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Station No. 2, 885 Hatch Run Road, Warren. Vendor spaces can be reserved by contacting Deb at (814) 688-7272 or accessing Glade VFD’s Facebook page for additional information. A basket raffle and bake sale are planned and members will be selling 50/50 tickets. Family activities include hayrides, children’s games and crafts, a visit by Smokey Bear, a flame house for future firefighters, and performances by Randy’s Solo Guitar Show. Music will start at 11:30 a.m. and will be featured throughout the afternoon. Food, including local sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, sloppy joes, chips and drinks can be purchased for a nominal fee. All proceeds will be used to acquire emergency equipment for the fire department. Parking and admission are free.
