Watson Township to hold clean-up day Oct. 1

WATSON — Watson Township will hold a fall clean-up day for Watson Township residents and camp owners on Saturday Oct. 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Watson Community Building. No hazardous material, propane tanks, batteries, solvents or wood will be accepted. No televisions will be accepted, though other electronics will be accepted. The fee is $10 per vehicle load. Tire fees are: $2.50 per passenger tire and $5 for tires with rims. General pick-up truck tires are $5 per tire and $7 for tires with rims. Larger tires are more expensive. All tires must be free from debris or they will not be accepted.

60th Reunion

The Youngsville High School Class of 1962 will meet for their 60th reunion on Sept. 30 at 4:30 p.m. with a casual dinner at Mama Jane’s Eatery followed by a social time at the EUM church on Second St., Youngsville.

Closure

The yard waste drop-off site at the City of Warren’s Sewer Treatment Plant will be closed on Monday, Sept. 26, and Tuesday, Sept. 27, for maintenance.

Fiber artists to meet

The Warren County Fiber Artists meet the first Tuesday of the month at the Church of God, 208 Market St., Warren. The first meeting will be Oct. 4 and there will be an activity on needle felting Halloween ornaments presented by Victoria Boehmer of the Tybout House. A kit will be available to purchase for $7 for the roving needed for the project.
