Retirees to meet today

The Osram Sylvania lady retirees will meet at 1 p.m. today at Mama Jane’s Restaurant.

Watson Grange meets

Members of the Watson Grange met recently. Reports were received concerning dictionaries purchased for 3rd graders at Tidioute Charter School as well as fair winners. The group will meet again Sept. 8 for installations of officers. Van Ord and Matt Irons will serve as delegates to PA State Grange in Oct.

Garden Club meets

The Hill and Dale Garden Club meeting was held on August 24 at Olmsted Manor in Ludlow. 19 members attended. The mile marker did not need weeded this month. Garden Therapy at the Rouse is September 12 at 1 p.m. and there is a work bee scheduled for Aug. 29. The next meeting will be September 28. The group will meet at 11:45 a.m. at Mama Jane’s in Warren for lunch and then proceed to Ekey’s for a tour and a talk on pollinating and bird migration.

Liberty Street will be closed for restoration

Liberty Street between Third and Fourth avenues will be closed Thursday and Friday for street restoration. Only local traffic will be allowed.
