Blood drives planned

There are two Community Blood Bank blood drives in Warren County in the next week. There are drives scheduled for 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Lander Volunteer Fire Department and noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Holy Redeemer Church in Warren. “We are operating at less than a one-day supply, and with the increase in demand that we typically see during the summer months, we really need to increase the current supply back to an eight- to 10-day supply,” Community Relations Specialist Erika DePalma said. Appointments are not required, but are appreciated, and may be made by calling (814) 456-4206.

Sale to help with roof project

Russell United Methodist Church, 17 N. Main St., will hold a rummage sale to help put a new roof on the church. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 15, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.
