Animal Sanctuary Benefit
Double Rainbow Farm is hoping to raise some funds during its Animal Sanctuary Benefit. There will be a fundraising event at 6 p.m. today at the Elks Club. Each $10 ticket provides the donor with a chance to win one of several prizes. The prizes include a kayak, a cooler full of beef, a two-hour pontoon rental from Wolf Run Marina, and a weekend for four — including horseback riding — in one of the Double Rainbow cabins. Appetizers are included, drinks will be available, and there will also be other fund-raising activities.
Produce Express
The Second Harvest Produce Express will be at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 258 Dalrymple St., Pittsfield, on Tuesday, July 5. Food pick-up will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m. A total of 80 families will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Everyone will need to complete a new registration form. Volunteer workers are asked to arrive by 2 p.m.
Tidioute VFW
The Tidioute VFW board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, with the Servicemen’s meeting set for 9 a.m. Sunday, July 10, and the VFW meeting to follow at 9:30 a.m.
Grove among graduates of Charter School
Chelsee Grove was celebrated by friends, family, and faculty this month as part of the Reach Cyber Charter School’s graduating Class of 2022. Grove was among 635 Reach graduates this year — the fourth graduating class in the school’s history. Reach Cyber Charter School is a statewide STEM-focused cyber school. It served nearly 8,000 students in grades K-12 this year.
