Blood drives to be held this week

Community Blood Bank will hold two drives this week: from noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Holy Redeemer Center in Warren; and from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Youngsville Fire Hall. All donors will be entered to win one of four $300 gift cards to either Lowe’s or Home Depot. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended. Clean up day is April 30

Pleasant Township’s spring clean up day is set for Saturday, April 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the municipal building, 8 Chari Lane. The fee is $10 per car, $15 per truck. Anything bigger than a pickup truck will be $25. No household garbage, tires or hazardous materials will be accepted. Driver’s licenses will be checked to verify township residency. The Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department will assist and accept donations for the fire department. Call the township office at 814-723-5240 for more information.
