Cleanup days

The annual Spring cleanup day for Elk Township residents will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the township’s maintenance garage. No oil, paint/liquid hazardous waste, asbestos, fluorescent bulbs, propane tanks, electronics (televisions and computers), or yard waste will be accepted. For pick-up trucks the cost is $15, cars and vans $10 and tires are at an added fee depending on the size. Residents may call the township office at 814-757-5818 or the township garage at 814-757-9361 for more information.

Glade Township will hold its spring clean-up from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 14 at the township building, 1285 Cobham Park Road. Fees are $7 per car or van and $15 per truck or trailer load. The township will not be accepting the following: wet paint cans, electronics, hazardous waste, household garbage or yard waste. Class members to meet

The Warren Area High School Class of 1963 will be meeting at Mama Jane’s for breakfast on April 19 at 9 a.m.

Book signing to benefit church

A book signing event for “Sugar Grove Profiles,” a series of interviews with the personalities of Sugar Grove by Eric Smith, will be held from 7-8 p.m. Friday, April 22, in the Sugar Grove Fire Hall. All proceeds will go to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.

Library Friends meets May 3

The Warren Public Library Friends Group will hold its annual meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 3. Those who would like to attend must call the library — (814) 723-4650 — to receive the Meeting ID and Passcode.
