AOC to hike

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike at Chapman Dam on April 3, hiking around the lake as well as the Storybook Trail. Those interested are asked to meet at the warming hut parking lot by 2 p.m. Linda Ross will lead the hike and can be reached at (814) 726-5298 or (814) 688-5908 with any questions.

Hotcake fundraiser

The Warren County Fourth of July Organization is having an all-you-can-eat hotcakes fundraiser on Monday, April 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Warren McDonald’s. Cost is $5 and tickets are available from any committee member or at the door.

Shania Twin to perform at Struthers

Shania Twain tribute artist Shania Twin will perform at Struthers Library Theatre at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 2. The show was originally scheduled for April 2020. COVID-19 pushed the performance to this year. Tickets — reserved seating — are $28 and may be purchased online at strutherslibrarytheatre.org, by visiting the theatre office, 302 W. 3rd. Ave., Warren, or by calling (814) 723-7231. Tickets will also be available at the door

Training for foster, kinship parents to be held in April

For those individuals interested in becoming a foster or kinship home with Warren County children and youth, a two-day training will be held Saturday, April 23, and Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Forest-Warren Human Services’ Building, 285 Hospital Drive, Warren. Foster homes are needed in Warren County and neighboring counties. To register for this training or for answers to further questions about foster care or kinship care, call Warren County Children and Youth at (814) 726-2100 ext. 8129.

Gospel meetings set

The Warren Church of Christ, 2194 Scandia Road, Warren, will be holding a gospel meeting with Terry Joe Kee, who is the Evangelist at the Greensboro Road Church of Christ in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Kee has attended Freed-Hardeman College, Bethel College, Memphis School of Preaching and the Alabama Christian School of Religion. He has been preaching for 47 years in which he has held at least one gospel meeting per year all over the country and internationally. The dates and times of the meetings are Sunday, April 3, at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and April 4 through April 6 at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
