Community Christmas Party

The Elk Township Historical Society will host a community Christmas Party on. Sat., Dec. 4, from 7-9 p.m. at the community center in Scandia. Mrs. Claus will visit to read stories and pass out surprises for the children. Snacks and beverages will be available for all to enjoy.

Art League meeting

The Warren Art League will meet Thursday, Dec. 2, from 5:30-7:45 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, W. Third Ave, Warren. The group is meeting earlier to celebrate five December birthdays and Christmas. Still life objects will be displayed. Guests are to bring an appetizer or an object to add to the display and your favorite media and supplies.

Christian Women to meet

Jamestown-Warren Christian Women will hold its next luncheon and bazaar at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell, Tuesday, Dec. 14, starting at 11 a.m. Guests may sell handmade items and crafts with 25 percent donation going to Village Missions. Lunch is $5 with music by Richard Geer and guest speaker, Stacey Rasmussen, director of Chautauqua County Compeer program. Christmas food drive

TGIF Solutions — Voty Insurance Agency is on a mission to collect as many non-perishable food items as possible for their Christmas Food Drive between Nov. 29 and Dec. 10. Every non-perishable food item that they collect during the drive will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania to help those in need this holiday season. Food items can be dropped off at the office located at 420 Pennsylvania Ave W., Warren, Pa. “It has always been our core focus to leave people better off than they were before and what better way to do that than to make sure families have meals to eat this holiday,” TGIF Solutions president, Bret Atwood, said.
