Church to chicken and biscuits dinner

The Russell United Methodist Church will host a drive-through chicken and biscuits dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 13.

A $10 donation will support the Cozy Quilt Ministry. Patients undergoing chemotherapy are given a homemade quilt, a carrying bag, a card, a book, and prayers for comfort during this difficult time in their recovery.

Craft fair is Sat.

The Warrren YMCA will hold a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be more than 35 vendors. The cost is $2 at the door. There will also be Bounce and Roll and a bounce house day. The cost is $15 per child for a one-hour spot. To register, call 814-726-0110. All proceeds benefit the YMCA early childhood program and the gymnastic team. Patrons will enter the gyms through the gym doors, not the main entrance. Those attending should watch for signs. Masks are required.

Chicken barbecue to be held Sunday

LANDER — The Lander Volunteer Fire Department will host a chicken barbecue from noon until gone on Sunday at the department, 5555 Route 957, Russell. The dinner is drive-through only and costs $10 for a full dinner, $7 for a child’s dinner and $7 for a half-chicken.

Phunkademic to perform Saturday

Phunkademic performs at the Struthers Library Theatre on Saturday, March 13, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Ridge Runners to hold dinner

The Garland Ridge Runners Muzzleloader Club Inc. will host a free chicken and biscuits dinner at Saturday, March 27, at the Garland Volunteer Fire Dept., 31 Bailey Lane, Garland. Doors will open at noon, and meals will be served at 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the club as well as to “Hunt of a Lifetime.” For more information, call bonnie at (814) 688-4021.
