ANF will close

Forest Road 150

The USDA Forest Service will temporarily close Forest Road 150 starting Nov. 9-10 for the replacement of a failing stream overflow crossing located just west of the Kinzua Creek bridge. The road is expected to be closed between Forest Route 122 to the west and Forest Route 321 to the east in Hamilton Township, McKean County. No through access is available during the construction. While the construction is expected to last two days, completion will be weather dependent. The road may be accessed from State Route 219 and Forest Road 321 in Westline. Outdoor Club Set

To Ride Bikes

On Thursday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes from Youngsville to Garland. The group will meet at 1 p.m. at Tops in Youngsville, Pat Spicer will be the leader and can be reached at 814-757-8331. On Sunday, the group will hike at the Jakes Rocks bike trails. We will meet at 1 p.m. at Musante Street in Warren. The trail is about 3.5 miles and easy. Earl Ross will lead and can be reached at 814-706-1198.

Genealogical

Society To Meet

The Warren County Genealogical Society will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the dining room of the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave. The program for the evening will be “Scenes of Warren in 1950 and Before,” a slide presentation by Marcia Kleinert. There will also be an opportunity for guests and members to seek research assistance and to share success stories with the group. Masks and social distancing will be required. Cathy Swanson will provide refreshments. The society welcomes anyone interested in family history and research. Call 723-8026 for additional information.
