Music in the Park to be held on Friday

Smokehouse, a classicrock cover band, will perform at 7 p.m. Friday as part of the Music in the Park concert series in Soldiers and Sailors Park, corner of Pennsylvania Avenue West and Hickory Street, Warren. In accord with “Green Phase” guidelines in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.

Fehlman awarded club scholarship

The Warren Garden Club has awarded its 2020 Warren Garden Club scholarship to Mikhyle Fehlman, a sophomore at the Pennsylvania State University at University Park. Fehlman, a graduate of Youngsville High School, is majoring in plant science at Penn State with hopes of someday working as a plant pathologist with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Church sets dinner for Saturday

The Hessel Valley Lutheran Church is holding a drive through/take out spaghetti and meatball dinner on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is by donation and proceeds will benefit Ron Caldwell and family.

Senior Centers to observe holiday

Experience Inc. and the senior centers in Warren and Forest counties will be closed in observance of the Fourth of July holiday on Friday, July 3.
