Voting hours extended to 9 p.m. in Clearfield County

Clearfield County extended its voting hours until 9 p.m. An oral motion for emergency special relief was made by the county solicitor due to a bomb threat at the Clearfield County Administrative Building where votes were being counted. President Judge Ammerman granted the motion. A written petition will be filed in the morning. Clearfield County is located southeast of Warren County with Clearfield about two hours away.

Remains found are those of Warren man

Skeletal remains found by kayakers last weekend on an island in the Allegheny River in Forest County have been identified as a Warren man. In a news release issued by the Forest County coroner’s office on Thursday, Coroner Norman J. Police investigating kittens found abandoned in carrier

Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information about a crate of kittens found on Morrison Run Road. Troopers responded to an animal cruelty complaint on Monday evening. “The Humane Society reported an individual came to their facility with a hard plastic animal carrier containing five kittens of assorted colors and gender,” State police said in a statement. The individual making the report stated that the carrier was found in Mead Twp. on Morrison Run Road near the oil tanks on Sunday around noon while he was in the area taking photographs. A brief standoff occurred Monday as local and federal authorities attempted to take a Warren man wanted for “absconding on his supervised release” into custody. Timothy A.
