State police probing fatal fire in Elk Township
ELK TOWNSHIP — Pennsylvania State Police in Warren are investigating a structure fire Friday afternoon on the 1000 block of Robin Hill Road that led to the death of one person.
At 1:50 p.m., Warren County 911 received 911 calls regarding a structure fire at the location with suspected entrapment.
The State Police were summoned to the location for an investigation. When they arrived on scene, Glade, Russell, Warren City, North Warren, Scandia, and Frewsburg fire departments were battling a fully involved structure fire, which had collapsed. Upon the fire being put out, a search of the residence revealed a body. The Warren County coroner was called to the scene.
The discovered body was removed from the scene by the Warren County coroner’s office. The Pennsylvania State Police and the Warren County Coroner’s office will be working with medical and dental records to positively identify the deceased subject.
