Warren man killed in Wednesday morning crash

A Wednesday morning accident on Route 62 in Pine Grove Twp. claimed the live of a Warren man

Bryan C. Steele, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County coroner.

The incident occurred south of South Main Street just after 6:45 a.m.

Troopers say in a statement released Wednesday afternoon that Steele was “walking on SR 62 in the center of the roadway” when he was struck by a 2009 Toyota Highlander that was traveling south.

The investigation revealed that Steele was thrown into the air by the impact and landed on the road.

State police were assisted on-scene by the coroner’s office, Russell VFD, Conewango Township police and Koebley’s Towing.

Route 62 was closed between Hatch Run Road and Rpite 957 for a few hours this morning in response to the incident.
