Times Observer photo by Brian Ferry

The body of a man was found Friday afternoon in the Allegheny River between Irvine and Tidioute in Warren County.

Officials could not immediately make an identification, according to Pennsylvania State Police at the scene near Davey Hill Road.

The location was on the west side of the river in Deerfield Township, about 5 miles northeast of Tidioute and almost 10 miles south of Irvine.

In addition to Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Tidioute Volunteer Fire Department and West Hickory Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.

City of Warren Police have recently led several multi-agency searches of the river in connection to two missing person cases.

There was no information immediately to confirm or deny that the body found Friday was one of the people who have been listed as missing from the city and have been the subjects of those searches.
