Wind advisory issued by weather service

It could get gusty in Warren County.

A wind advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service at State College from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. It includes Warren, McKean, Potter, Elk, Cameron, Clearfield, Cambria, Somerset and Tioga counties.

Winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 to 60 mph.

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” the weather service said. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. … Travel may be difficult for high-profile vehicles such as trucks and trailers especially on east-west oriented roadways.”

In Chautauqua County, a high wind warning has been issued for 6 a.m. Sunday through 1 a.m. Monday. According to the weather service, winds could reach 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
