Engstrom is interim provost, vice president for Academic Affairs
Dr. Daniel E. Engstrom, a native of Youngsville, Warren County, is now the interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at California University of Pennsylvania.
Engstrom began his career at Cal U in 2001 as an assistant professor in the university’s technology education program. He then served as associate dean and director of student teaching in Cal U’s College of Education and Human Services. Prior to his appointment as interim provost, he was associate provost in the Office of Academic Success and the acting director of graduate and online admissions.
Engstrom earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial arts/technology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in career and technology education from Bowling Green State University, and a doctorate of education in educational leadership from Duquesne University.
He lives in West Newton, Pa., with his wife, Rhonda, and their four children, Isaiah, Joel, Maya and Danielle.
