One of the project’s organizers, Adam Meneo, clarified an item in Tuesday’s Times Observer regarding the sensory playground program. He said that “Rotary initially agreed to raise $50,000 for the project, of which over $48,000 has been banked, and an additional $9,500 pending. After our initial agreement with the city, they backed down their commitment due to budgetary restraints, and we agreed to pick up the slack and make up the difference… We are still looking to raise about $107,000 to make up that difference.”
