Correction
A Saturday article titled Matter of ‘Safety,’ on page A1 of the Times Observer, was based on a video posted Friday of Warren County District Attorney Rob Greene testifying previously in Harrisburg in support of Sheriff’s deputies gaining law enforcement powers. He did not actually speak on Friday.
Sheriff’s deputies do not have full law enforcement powers. Greene addressed the House State Government Committee to urge legislators to pass a bill changing that. On Friday, Greene said it is still an “important issue.”
