In a July 12 Times Observer article entitled “Seeking Gold Star families,” an incorrect phone number was published to reach Dennis Faucher, of Bradford, who is again hosting the Willow Creek triathlon (www.willowcreektriathlon.org) this year. The triathlon, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, honors Gold Star families in Warren and McKean counties and raises money for the DAV. He says he has been wanting to do more for the gold star families who often get left behind after their loved one dies in service. He had a gold star coin created and he hands them out to gold star families across the Warren and McKean County area each year. This year he’s seeking the families of the following service members from Warren to be honored at the event:

ØPFC William D. Loundsbury (Vietnam)

ØPO3 Quenton Edward Slocum Jr. (Vietnam)
