Correction
Monday’s meeting of the Conewango Township Supervisors was reported to have included a discussion of merging the North Warren and Starbrick fire departments. This was a mistake. “We were never talking about a merger,” Conewango Township supervisor Jeff Zariczny stated on Wednesday morning. “We were discussing a meeting we wanted them both to attend. We are trying to make sure that they are both healthy and have the resources they need.” This was what was meant by Zariczny in reference to implementing “growth strategies” as stated in Tuesday’s story regarding the township meeting. Additionally, the Conewango Township supervisors advised that their meetings will occur on both the second Monday of each month at 4 p.m. and the fourth Monday at 6 p.m. All meetings are held at the township office, 4 Fireman St. in Starbrick.
