Jamestown man sentenced to local jail time

A Jamestown, N.Y., man will spend between six months and two years and a day in the Warren County Jail after pleading guilty to a simple assault charge during sentencing court held recently in Judge Maureen Skerda’s courtroom. Douglas A. Harkins, 49, pleaded guilty in January 2024 to simple assault while charges of aggravated assault, a class 2 felony, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness were not prosecuted. A Warren man faces six felony charges related to the alleged 2022 rape of a child who was 2 years old at the time. The State Police at Warren filed charges Wednesday against Dillon T. Gray, 33, that include rape of a child, statutory sexual assault: 11 years older and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, all class 1 felon charges.
