Warren man jailed after domestic incident
A Warren man has been jailed on $25,000 bail after a domestic incident Thursday in Glade Township.
Robert J. Bethea Jr., 21, of Warren was charged with third-degree felony strangulation, simple assault and harassment after an incident Wednesday night. Bethea was arraigned Thursday by Judge Daniel Miller, who set bail at $25,000. Bethea was taken to the Warren County Prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25 in front of Judge Miller.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Bethea told police he was involved in an argument with his girlfriend over alleged infidelity. Bethea said he grabbed the woman around the chest and fell to the ground with her before he pushed her away. Troopers allege the woman said Bethea punched her in the face and allegedly choked her. Troopers said the woman had a large purple bruise around her eye and redness around her throat.
