— MEAD TOWNSHIP — A Clarendon man suffered minor injuries after an accident Jan. 25.
At approximately 7:24 p.m., Troopers responded to the 10000 block of Route 6 for a report of a one vehicle crash. Upon arrival it was determined a vehicle was traveling east when Michael K. Lester, 45, lost control of the vehicle. It crossed the center line, struck a snow bank on the eastern side of the road and overturned multiple times. During the investigation it was determined Lester was driving under the influence and subsequently charged. Troopers were assisted on scene by Clarendon Fire Department and Koebleys Towing.
— CLARENDON BOROUGH — The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft through bad checks. Jeffrey Duell, 36, passed a check in the amount of $3,500 to Ronald Schrieber, 77, on Nov. 13. Duell was notified that the check was refused at a bank on Nov. 19. Duell failed to pay the amount owed on the check in the timeline proscribed by law and is facing one count of theft.
— SHEFFIELD — At 4 p.m. Sunday, troopers were dispatched to Horton Avenue to check on the welfare of a 22-year-old female at the location. Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal altercation had turned physical. Neither party was injured. Parties were separated and appropriate charges are pending for both parties that included a male, 55.
