Warren man charged with child porn possession
A Warren man faces 38 counts of third-degree felony possession of child pornography.
Theodore A. Beckwith, 75, of Warren was charged by Warren police on Tuesday and arraigned by Magisterial District Court Justice Raymond Zydonik. Bail was set at $10,000.
The charge stems from an April 23, 2024, incident at Kinzua Healthcare when police were dispatched for a report of a resident possessing child pornography. Police met with the facility administrator and an employee who said she was in Beckwith’s room when she allegedly saw child pornography on Beckwith’s laptop computer.
Police said Beckwith allegedly told the employee that there were items on his laptop that should have been deleted while then allegedly admitting to officers that there were items on his laptop that Beckwith didn’t think were “up to snuff,” according to the Affidavit of Probable Cause.
The laptop was seized and taken to the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crimes Unit to be examined. On June 6, 2025, the unit said there were allegedly multiple photos and three videos that allegedly depicted child sexual abuse material.
