Youngsville man sentenced to jail time

Several sentences were handed down recently by Judge Gregory Hammond. They include:

Kurt L. Dansk was sentenced to between six and 21 months after pleading guilty to a charge of resisting arrest/other law enforcement and a minimum of one month to two months after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct. No further penalty was assessed by the court for two traffic citations.

Rodney L. Johnson was sentenced to six months probation after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI: general impairment/incapable of driving safely – first offense. No further penalty was assessed for a traffic violation,

Jonathan L. Porter was sentenced to six months probation after pleading guilty to DUI: high rate of alcohol (BAC .10-.16%) – first offense. No penalty was assessed after Porter pleaded guilty to a traffic citation. Rhiannon Sheldon was sentenced to between four months and a year in the Warren County Prison after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

Travis Whippo was sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty to simple assault.

William S. Wilson was sentenced to six months probation on one docket after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC .16% or higher) – first offense, and five years probation on a second docket after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC .16% or higher) – second offense. There was no penalty for three traffic offenses to which Wilson pleaded guilty on both dockets.
