PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
— A Sheffield resident was injured after a motor vehicle accident on State Route 6 and Pond Road in Mead Township around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officers say a vehicle driven by Stephen C. Koper, 21, collided with a vehicle being driven by Thomas Koscinski, 48, of Aliquippa when trying to make a right-hand turn from Pond Road to Route 6. Both received minor injuries in the crash while three passengers in Koscinski’s vehicle were not injured.
Koper was charged with entering or crossing a roadway.
— A Russell resident was injured in an accident on Big Four Road in Pine Grove Township around midnight June 8. Jarrett M. Simmons, 24, was allegedly traveling south when he stopped the vehicle and put it in reverse. Officers say the vehicle slid sideways off the right side of the road and down an embankment and struck a tree.
Simmons refused medical treatment and was later charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
— An altercation led to a visit by State Police at 293 Dalrymple Street in Pittsfield Township. At 3:42 p.m. June 11, officers were dispatched to the address for harassment between two sisters. Upon investigating, both women admitted to consuming alcohol and engaging in a verbal argument that turned physical.
No charges were filed.
