Pleas entered in Warren County court
Five defendants entered guilty pleas while one pleaded no contest before President Judge Maureen Skerda on Monday at the Warren County Courthouse.
William V. Devlieger, 80, Warren, pleaded no contest to accident involving death or injury, fail to stop and give information or render aid and careless driving. Charges of failing to notify police of an accident and right of way of pedestrian were not prosecuted.
The following defendants entered guilty pleas:
Timothy S. Gorton, 58, Clarendon, to DUI, disregard traffic lane and disorderly conduct. Five traffic violations were not prosecuted.
Aaron S. Hall, 33, Warren, to DUI and driving an unregistered vehicle. Charges of DUI and two traffic violations were not prosecuted.
John R. Heidt, 62, Erie, Pa., to accident involving death or injury, DUI and three traffic violations. Charges of accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and four traffic violations were not prosecuted.
Jacob A. Knisley, 23, to charges at three dockets including DUI and restriction on alcoholic beverages at one while charges of DUI and purchasing alcohol by a minor were not prosecuted; DUI, driving intoxicated while license suspended and two traffic violations while charges of DUI and three additional traffic offenses were not prosecuted and endangering the welfare of children, DUI and three traffic offenses while charges of recklessly endangering another person, DUI and five traffic offenses were not prosecuted.
George E. Stoddard, 56, Ripley, NY, to DUI and a traffic violation. An additional DUI count and a traffic violation were not prosecuted.
