Charges withdrawn at hearings

Charges were withdrawn against two individuals while two were held for court during preliminary hearings held Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

Charges were withdrawn against two defendants:

¯ Matthew D. Johnson, 33, Warren. Johnson had been charged with single counts of simple assault at two dockets. Two counts of harassment were re-categorized as non-traffic offenses.

¯ Kirk A. Zylo, 57, Tidioute. Zylo had been charged with a count of possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of public drunkenness was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

The following defendants were held for court:

¯ Todd R. Long, 33, Kane, Pa. Long faces charges including three counts of aggravated assault, assault by prisoner, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, four counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of resisting arrest, cruelty to animals, institutional vandalism and criminal mischief. At a second docket, charges of resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person, two counts of disorderly conduct and cruelty to animals were withdrawn.

¯ Connor M. Westcoat, 19, Pleasantville, Pa. Westcoat faces charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment,
