Three have charges withdrawn in preliminary hearings

Three guilty pleas were entered while charges were withdrawn against three during preliminary hearings held recently at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

Jacob D. Matteson, 39, Pittsfield, to possession of a controlled substance. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

Bradley M. Smith 33, Warren, to loitering and prowling at night time and harassment. Charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness were withdrawn.

Anthony J. Williams, 40, Warren, to possession of marijuana. A count of possession of a controlled substance was withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following:

Jayme L. Brown, 27, Warren. Brown had been charged with fraud to alter title, registration or insurance. Charges of fraudulent use of a registration plate and driving on a suspended license were re-categorized as traffic offenses.

Shane B. Labhart, 48, Newburgh, In. Labhart had been charged with harassment. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

Amanda Proctor, 31, Grand Valley. Proctor had been charged with retail theft. Two counts of retail theft were re-categorized as non-traffic offenses.
