Cases handled at preliminary hearings in county court

Two guilty pleas were entered while charges were withdrawn against two during preliminary hearings held Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

¯ Robert C. Bean, 37, Warren, to possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and fail to to carry registration. Charges including possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, driving an unregistered vehicle, operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, violate hazard regulation, no rear lights and operating a vehicle without valid inspection were withdrawn.

¯ Mikayla M. Maxwell, 28, Warren, to possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle without valid inspection.

Charges including four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, fail to use safety belt and fail to carry registration were withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following defendants:

¯ Benjamin L. Sears, II, 24, Clarendon. Sears had been charged with simple assault. A count of harassment was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

¯ Cale M. Seeker, 33, Warren. Seeker had been charged with strangulation and simple assault. A count of harassment was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.
