Dead animals found in container left in yard
Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information about a container left in the yard of an East Fifth Avenue residence containing the remains of two dead animals.
Troopers responded to the home Saturday shortly after 5 p.m. after the “homeowner reported a suspicious container that was left in his yard,” the State Police said in a news release.
“The container was discovered to contain a deceased medium-sized mixed-breed dog wrapped in blankets,” police say. “A deceased orange and white kitten was also found inside the container.”
Troopers say the investigation is ongoing and that anyone with information should contact state police at the Starbrick barracks.
