Pleas entered in county court
Four guilty pleas and five not guilty pleas were entered during arraignment and change of plea proceedings Thursday before Judge Gregory Hammond.
The following defendants entered guilty pleas:
¯ Thomas W. Hartzell, 43, Kane, to DUI, possession of a controlled substance and careless driving. Charges including four counts of DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and two summary traffic violations were not prosecuted.
¯ Larenda K. Martin, 37, Bradford, Pa., to conspiracy (retail theft) while charges including two counts of retail theft and defiant trespass were not prosecuted. At a second docket, she pleaded guilty as charged to an offensive weapons charge.
¯ Laura L. Mohney, 50, Warren, to DUI and disregard traffic lane.
¯ Kristopher W. Reed, 47, Clarendon, to DUI, disregard traffic lane and resisting arrest. A count of DUI and two summary traffic violations were not prosecuted.
Not guilty pleas were entered by the following defendants:
¯ William R. Gardner, 22, Warren. Gardner has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and two counts of harassment.
¯ Denver McMullen, 18, Clarendon. McMullen has been charged with burglary, theft, loitering and prowling at night time, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief — damage property.
¯ James M. Mescall, 50, Panama, NY. Mescall has been charged with accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and 10 summary traffic violations.
¯ Michael P. Snow, 32, Jamestown, NY. Snow has been charged with simple assault and harassment.
¯ Christopher J. Wybiral, 26, Pittsfield. Wybiral has been charged with two counts of DUI and six summary traffic violations.
TWO PLEAD DURING PRELIM HEARINGS
Two guilty pleas were entered during preliminary hearings held Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.
¯ Christian L. Papalia, 18, Pittsfield, to possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of possession of marijuana was withdrawn.
¯ Scott A. Gabel, 42, Erie, Pa., to possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, no rear light and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection were not prosecuted.
