Five guilty pleas were entered and charges were withdrawn against two this week during preliminary hearings held at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

¯ James J. Ellsworth, 35, Union City, to possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Erica G. Johnson, 31, Warren, to defiant trespass.

¯ Joshua A. Howard, 39, Warren, to possession of a controlled substance, adulterate/misbrand any controlled substance and driving on a suspended or revoked license. Charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were withdrawn.

¯ Shane D. Rodgers, 31, Bear Lake, to simple assault. A count of harassment was withdrawn.

¯ Casey S. Waha, 28, Corry, to simple assault. A count of harassment was withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following defendants:

¯ Mark E. Lundmark, 46, Russell. Lundmark had been charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

¯ Amanda F. Smith, 39, Jamestown, NY. Smith had been charged with theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
