Sentences are handed down in county court proceedings

Judge Gregory Hammond sentenced the following defendants during court proceedings at the Warren County Courthouse.
¯ Duane G. Anderson, Warren, to six months restrictive probation including 48 hours incarceration, $1,275 in fines and fees, work release eligibility, participation in the victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety school programs, 15 hours of community service and a 12 month license suspension on a count of DUI: General impairment — incapable of safe driving — first offense as well as $70 on a count of careless driving.
¯ Matthew H. Bennett, Warren, to eight to 24 months incarceration in state prison with credit for 38 days time served, $725 in fines and fees, $120 in restitution, submission of a DNA sample, boot camp, recidivism risk reduction incentive eligibility and state drug treatment court program eligibility on a count of possession with intent to deliver as well as four months to 12 months incarceration on a count of criminal use of a communications facility. Bennett was sentenced at a second docket to eight to 24 months incarceration, $225 in fines and fees and $100 in restitution on a second count of possession with intent to driver as well as four to 12 months incarceration on a count of criminal use of a communications facility.
¯ Mark K. Coy, Youngsville, to six months restrictive probation including five days house arrest, $925 in fines and fees, participation in the victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety school programs, mental health and drug and alcohol treatment and 15 hours of community service on a count of DUI: General impairment — incapable of safe driving — first offense.
¯ John W. Emer, James City, Pa., to six months probation, $775 in fines and fees, a one year suspension of boating privileges, a boating safety course, participation in the victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety school programs and 15 hours of community service on a count of incapable of safely operating watercraft while under the influence — first offense and a $75 on a count of operating a motorboat without registration.
¯ Mikayla M. Lathrop, Warren, to one year probation, $375 in fines and fees, submission of a DNA sample, $86.74 in restitution, a no trespass order at Walmart, a cognitive education program and 20 hours of community service on a count of conspiracy (retail theft).
¯ Merle C. Smith, Jamestown, N.Y., to charges at seven different dockets. Smith was sentenced to nine to 18 months incarceration, $125 in fees, a no contact/no trespass order and $3,002.85 in restitution on a count of theft by unlawful taking; nine to 18 months incarceration with credit for 307 days time served, boot camp and recidivism risk reduction incentive eligibility, submission of a DNA sample, $125 in fees, a no contact/no trespass order, to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with recommendations and pay $7,569.26 in restitution on a count of theft by unlawful taking; nine to 18 months incarceration, $125 in fees and a no trespass order at Howe’s True Value on a count of receiving stolen property; five to 10 months incarceration, $125 in fees, a no trespass order at Walmart and $466.73 in restitution on a count of retail theft; five to 10 months incarceration, $125 in fees and $802.12 in restitution to Walmart on a count of retail theft; five to 10 months incarceration, $125 in fees and $484.06 in restitution to Walmart on a count of retail theft and five to 10 months incarceration and $125 in fees on a count of criminal attempt (retail theft).
¯ Cole J. Wilson, Warren, to six months restrictive probation including five days incarceration, to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with recommendations, work release eligibility, 15 hours of community service, $850 in fines and fees and participation in the victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety school programs on a count of DUI: General impairment — incapable of safe driving — first offense.
¯ John Young, Warren, to six months restrictive probation including 72 hours incarceration, $1,750 in fines and fees, a 12 month license suspension, participation in the victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety school programs and 15 hours of community service on a count of DUI: Highest rate of alcohol — first offense and a $70 fine on a count of no headlights.
¯ Cheryl L. Baker, Erie, Pa., was sentenced to three year probation back on June 29 as well as submission of a DNA sample and $375 in fines and fees on a count of terroristic threats.
¯ Ben T. Hunneycutt IV, Warren, was sentenced to 13 days to 18 months incarceration with credit for 13 days time served and submission of a DNA sample on a count of possess/sale/use display documents as well as $1,400 in fines and fees. That sentence was handed down June 25.
