Wanted Warren man brought to county jail

A Warren man, who is on the registry as a lifetime sexual offender, has been brought to the county and taken to Warren County Jail to face justice on numerous outstanding charges.

John A. Snyder, 50, of Warren, was brought to the county by Warren County Sheriff’s deputies with assistance from Pennsylvania State Police — Greensburg, on Feb. 17 on multiple bench warrants for failure to appear for common pleas court, preliminary hearings, and domestic relations.

One of those bench warrants was issued for Snyder’s arrest in October when he was scheduled for plea court.

Snyder faces charges in Warren County on three pending dockets.

Two of them — one in magisterial court and one in the court of common pleas – include a total of three charges related to failing to maintain current address and photo information related to his status as a sexually violent predator.

On the third docket, in the court of common pleas, Snyder faces aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault, terroristic threats, and hindering apprehension.

The offense dates listed on the docket are Sept. 13, 2019, and Sept. 18, 2019.
