Attempted arson charges withdrawn

A Warren man charged with breaking into an RV in Farmington Township, attempting to assault the occupant and lighting her garbage on fire with a torch has had all charges withdrawn.

Online court records indicate that Darren D. Lindstrom, 43 faced charges of criminal attempt (arson — inhabited building or structure), burglary — overnight accommodation — person present — bodily injury crime, criminal trespass — break into structure, all felonies, as well as terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief — damage property and disorderly conduct — engage in fighting.

Those were withdrawn as a result of a Wednesday preliminary hearing.

“The victim in this case wanted all the charges dropped and refused to testify so (First Assistant District Attorney Cody) Brown was left with no choice but to withdraw the charges,” District Attorney Rob Greene explained.
