Warren man is charged with burglary

A Warren man has been charged with burglary after he was allegedly inside a home after the occupant had been evicted.

Mason W. Jukes, 32, of Warren, is charged with burglary and criminal trespass.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the Pennsylvania State Police responded to a report of a burglary at 35 Brown Ave., Mead Township, at 6:33 p.m. Sunday.

Police spoke to the owner of the property, then to the tenant who had vacated the premises recently after being evicted, according to the affidavit. Neither told police they had given anyone permission to be inside.

Police spoke with Jukes, who said he had permission from the recent tenant to be at the property, according to the affidavit.

Jukes was arraigned Sunday before District Judge Raymond Zydonik and taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $7,500 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.
