Pleas are entered at arraignment

Two guilty pleas were entered while three pled not guilty during arraignment and change of plea proceedings last week at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants pled guilty:

¯ Larry B. Babcock, Jr., Warren, to DUI: High rate of alcohol — first offense, driving without a license and no rear lights while charges of DUI: General impairment — incapable of safe driving — first offense and fail to use safety belt were not prosecuted. At a second docket, Babcock pled guilty to disorderly conduct — unreasonable noise. A count of simple assault was not prosecuted while a count of recklessly endangering another person was withdrawn.

¯ Michelle L. Minnis, Youngsville, to simple assault. Charges of aggravated assault and harassment were not prosecuted.

The following individuals entered not guilty pleas:

¯ Clark J. Thomas, Warren. Thomas has been charged with theft by unlawful taking and driving without a license.

¯ Sarah L. Bacchetti, Warren. Bacchetti has been charged with DUI: General impairment – incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – first offense and improper tires studded.

¯ Kevin D. Rainey, Warren. Rainey has been charged with DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – second offense, DUI: General impairment — incapable of safe driving — second offense and drive wrong way.
