CENTRAL WARREN COUNTY – DISTRICT JUSTICE RAYMOND ZYDONIK

Possession. Jason A. Turba, 49, Pleasantville, Pa., was charged by the Office of the Attorney General on July 2 with possession of a controlled substance and theft by unlawful taking from an incident that occurred on Dec. 1, 2019 in the City of Warren.

Possession. Joshua J. Owens, 28, Warren, was charged by Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police on July 1 with possession of drug paraphernalia, fail to carry registration and no headlights from an incident that occurred on March 4, 2020 in the City of Warren.

NORTHERN WARREN COUNTY – DISTRICT JUSTICE LAURA BAUER

Harassment. Christopher M. Brown, 43, Warren, was charged by Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police on July 1 with harassment and disorderly conduct from an incident that occurred on June 22 in Conewango Twp.

Simple assault. Linda J. Welch, 27, Warren, was charged by Meadville-based Pennsylvania State Police on June 30 with simple assault and harassment from an incident that occurred on June 17 in Conewango Twp.

Theft. David N. Yhelka, 68, Darlington, Pa., was charged by Conewango Township police on June 30 with theft property lost, etc. by mistake from an incident that occurred on June 10 in Conewango Twp.

ELDRED TWP.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police received a report from a 63-year-old Pittsfield man, Rt. 27, that his antique vehicle windshield was cracked sometime between June 26 and July 1. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

FARMINGTON TWP.

Hit-and-run. Warren-based Pennsylvania State police report that a vehicle was traveling east on Old State Rd. and left the roadway for unknown reasons where it struck a livestock fence. Police say the vehicle then fled the scene towards Sugar Grove. The vehicle is believed to be a red GMC SUV. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

PINE GROVE TWP.

Drugs. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police were contacted regarding possible found drugs in a business parking lot at 8320 Market St. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

SHEFFIELD TWP.

Found property. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police report that troopers recovered a black and green scooter labeled “MADD GEAR.” Anyone with information regarding this property is asked to contact state police.

SOUTHWEST TWP.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police received a report from a 45-year-old Butler man that two trail cameras were destroyed on his property between April 4 and June 22. Anyone with information is asked to call state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

SUGAR GROVE TWP.

Crash. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on June 26 at 5:52 p.m. on Wilson Rd. west of Oil Rd. A 2008 GMC Envoy, driven by Duey A. Strange, 64, Erie, was traveling east on Wilson Rd. at a suspected high rate of speed when Strange, police say, lost control of the vehicle traveling over a set of potholes on the dirt road. The vehicle swerved to the left and then to the right in an attempt to regain control before it traveled off the south side of the roadway and struck a ditch, which caused the vehicle to flip. Police say Strange sustained moderate injuries and was transported to UPMC Chautauqua from the scene while one passenger sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene. A second passenger, police say, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained suspected severe head and chest injuries and was flown to UPMC Hamot. Strange was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

SUGAR GROVE

Theft. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to Warren Rd. for a report of theft. Police say they discovered that a suspect had failed to pay for gas received and that the case is currently under investigation.
