2 arrests in Falconer bank robbery

Jamestown Police have arrested two men in connection with a Monday bank robbery in Falconer, N.Y.

The incident occurred at the Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union at 51 E. Main St. on Monday.

According to the Ellicott and Jamestown police departments, Kyle R. Senear, 22, Jamestown, N.Y., entered the credit union, located at 51 E. Main St., around 9:30 a.m., the Jamestown Post-Journal reported.

Using Vaseline and tea bag grindings to simulate facial hair and disguise his face, Senear allegedly handed the teller a note advising of the robbery and then fled on foot with a large quantity of cash.

Police said Senear did not display a weapon during the robbery. He was located in the afternoon at a Jamestown residence and charged with second-degree robbery. Police said the majority of money stolen has not been recovered and an investigation is ongoing.

A second Jamestown man, Thomas W. Bartlett, Sr., 61, was arrested on Monday, according to a statement from Jamestown Police.

He was arrested “for his role in the robbery” but that role is not specifically detailed. He was located in a Jamestown residence the afternoon after the robbery.
