Conewango Twp.

Retail Theft. Police report that on Thursday, Dec. 24 at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of retail theft. Police say that a known juvenile was subsequently charged with retail theft after attempting to leave the store with $66.96 in unpaid merchandise. A non-traffic citation has been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office, police report.

Pleasant Twp.

Crash. According to police, at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS operated by Jared Bloomgren, 32, of Sugar Grove, was traveling northbound on Route 62 when it entered a slight curve in the roadway and lost control on the wet road surface. Police say Bloomgren’s vehicle began to slide into the southbound lane while spinning in a clockwise direction before leaving the roadway, striking the flat end ground portion of a guide rail, then traveled over a small dirt pile, causing the vehicle to go airborne. Police say the vehicle traveled approximately 60 ft. and struck a tree with its front side, coming to rest against the tree and bottom of an embankment. According to police, Bloomgren was wearing a seat belt and a minor injury was reported, with Bloomgren being transported from the scene by Emergycare to Warren General Hospital.

Spring Creek

Hit and Run. According to police, at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, a Chevrolet pickup traveling south on Oil Creek Road failed to negotiate a left hand curve and continued in a southwesterly direction, crossing the southbound berm and entering a ditch. The pickup then proceeded to travel 372 feet in a southbound direction where it made initial impact with a mailbox, police say. According to police, the vehicle then proceeded to travel another 12 feet where it struck a second mailbox, continuing southbound an additional 155 feet. Police say the vehicle then continued southwest, re-entering the southbound lane of Oil Creek Road and continuing to travel southbound without stopping.

Sugar Grove

Accident. According to police, On Thursday, Dec. 24 at approximately 6:28 p.m., Matthew Luvison, 61, struck a culvert with his vehicle. Police say that after further investigation of the crash, Luvison was found to be driving under the influence. Charges are pending the results of his blood draw, police say.

Clarendon

Theft. Police report that sometime between Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 10 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 6 a.m., someone removed a wallet and its contents from the vehicle of Mark Helinski, South Main Street, Clarendon. Police say anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Warren

Theft. City of Warren police report that between Dec. 23 and Dec. 28, unknown individuals removed two Star Fire Christmas lights from the front yard of 605 Prospect St. According to police, the lights are valued at $84. Anyone with information is asked to contact City of Warren Police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Terroristic Threats. City of Warren police report that they responded to Kwik Fill, 2016 E. Pennsylvania Ave., on Dec. 27 for a report of an employee making threats toward other employees. Police say Jason Lee Jesson, 22, of Warren, was taken into custody and charged with Terroristic Threats. According to police, Jesson was arraigned at the Warren County Prison with a $15,000 cash bond.

Bench Warrant. Warren County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Dec. 22, at about 3:50 p.m., Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by Warren County Adult Probation arrested Daniel L. Ishman, age 31, of Warren at 333 Hickory St. on a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for court. The bench warrant was issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas Domestic Relations Section, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Ishman was reportedly placed in the Warren County Prison pending further court action.

Warren

DUI. According to Pennsylvania State Police, officers initiated a traffic stop on Market Street on Dec. 18 and encountered a known individual believed to be driving under the influence. During the investigation, police said, the individual was found to be in possession of suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia. The incident is still under investigation. No person was identified.

Theft of Motor Vehicle. According Pennsylvania State Police, sometime between Oct. 20 and Oct. 21, a red 1996 Dodge half-ton pickup, bearing Ohio registration GEM7393, was taken from a property belonging to Calvin Lee Riddle without his consent. Police are asking anyone with knowledge of the theft to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Criminal Mischief. Police reported that on December 27, at around 3:25 a.m., someone smashed a mailbox along the side of Old Route 77 belonging to Dale Forbes, of Spring Creek. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Harassment. City of Warren police reported that on Dec. 15, at around 7:07 a.m., two known juveniles became involved in an altercation on Dey Lane in Pittsfield Township. Harassment charges were filed for both parties, police say, with District Justice Art Zerbe in Youngsville.

Youngsville

Burglary. According to police, between Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, an unknown suspect or suspects gained entrance to the residence of Richard Hall, Youngsville, removing prescription medication and a woman’s size 7 silver and pearl ring. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on Dec. 18 at 1:30 a.m. a known 24-year-old female, Warren, was stopped for a traffic violation and believed to be driving under the influence. During the investigation it was determined that the suspect was in possession of suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Farmington

Twp.

Disorderly conduct. Warren-based state police reported that on Dec. 22 at 1:13 p.m. a known 16-year-old male became disruptive during class at Eisenhower Middle High School and then proceeded to use profanities while in the hallway and office. Police said a charge of disorderly conduct was filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Sugar Grove

Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Dec. 22 at 5:45 p.m. According to police, a 2007 Ford F650, driven by Scott M. Wagner, 39, Warren, was traveling north on Matthews Run Road, north of Lee Johnson Road at Sanity Lane,. and lost control while rounding a left-hand curve. The vehicle traveled across the southbound lane, off the berm and down an embankment, striking a mailbox and then a utility pole. The vehicle then continued to hit another mailbox and then a culvert, traveled over a driveway and hit other mailboxes. The vehicle came to rest on the north side of a driveway in a ditch. Police said Wagner was not injured.

Theft. Matthew White, Chandlers Valley, reported to Warren-based state police that sometime between Dec. 18 and Dec. 21 someone stole firewood, gasoline and hay from his property. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police responded to a domestic dispute on Murray Hill Rd. on Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. A non-traffic citation was filed charging Tommy See, 32, Youngsville with harassment against a known 33-year-old victim through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Farmington Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Dec. 19 at 9:30 a.m. on Miller Hill Rd. 1.3 miles north of Jackson Run Rd. A 2000 Ford Ranger, driven by Dennis L. Roberts, 52, Warren, lost control and struck an embankment, overturning and continued to slide uphill going north. Police said Roberts, who was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed, was transported to Warren General Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries while the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Pittsfield Twp.

Fleeing and eluding. Warren-based state police filed charges against William M. Montgomery, 46, Corry, after an investigation into a fleeing and eluding incident that occurred on Nov. 18. Police allegedly attempted to stop Montgomery, who was operating an ATV on Sr. 27 and Hosmer Run Rd. While fleeing, Montgomery struck the side of a state police vehicle. Montgomery eluded police after the chase but was later identified after police reviewed a security camera from inside of Double D’s restaurant. Charges include fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and 13 summary traffic violations.

Simple assault. Warren-based state police reported that on Dec. 22 at 5:23 p.m. Russell Edward Grunden, Jr., 49, Youngsville, and a known 44-year-old female, Pittsfield, became involved in a verbal disagreement that resulted in physical contact. Police said the victim sustained injuries as a result of the altercation. Police said Grunden was taken into custody and placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment. Police said charges of harassment and simple assault were filed against Grunden through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on S. Main St. at the intersection with Elk St. A 2007 Ford Fusion, driven by Avella L. Lubold, Sheffield, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection facing west. A 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Roxann A. Kays, 65, Youngsville, was traveling north on Rt. 666. Lubold then entered Rt. 666 into the path of Kays’ vehicle. Police said no injuries were reported but Lubold was cited for stop signs and yield signs.

Watson Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Dec. 19 at 10:10 a.m. on Pleasant Dr. A 2004 Ford Escape, driven by Suzanne T. Gnage, 45, Warren, lost control on the snow covered road, began to rotate counterclockwise and crossed the center line before continuing across the opposite lane eventually striking an embankment which caused the vehicle to roll on its passenger side. Police said no injuries were reported but Gnage was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

Bench warrant. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said on Dec. 21, Holli Ann Hull, 43, Kane, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to report to prison to commence her sentence. Hull will stand committed in the Warren County Prison, the department said. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Kane Police.

Theft. According to city police, Cody Hennessey, 26, Warren, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property on Dec. 16 following an investigation into the theft of a donation canister in November.

Aggravated assault. City of Warren Police reported Joseph Thompson, 29, Warren, was charged with aggravated assault on Dec. 16 following an investigation into an assault that occurred in November.

Cited. Tyler Maney, 18, Erie was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed on Dec. 18, city police said, following a two-vehicle accident at Hickory St. and Crescent Park.

Columbus Twp.

Harassment. Corry-based state police reported that on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. at 20 East Main Street, Krista Dunkle, 47, Columbus, grabbed a 66-year-old Centerville man by the neck and with excessive force, shoved him backwards. Charges have been filed through District Judge Glenn Carlson.

Conewango Twp.

Crash. On Dec. 17 at 6:13 a.m., Robert A. Knopf, 79, Russell, was driving south on Route 62 approximately 150 north of Hatch Run Road when his 2013 Ford Fiesta traveled over the single yellow line on the left side of the southbound lane and hit a cement traffic island in the median, state police said. The vehicle continued to travel on the traffic island approximately 20 feet south before striking a traffic sign, police said. According to police, Knopf fled the scene east on Hatch Run Road and continued to flee south on Conewango Ave. before a traffic stop was initiated on Conewango Ave at McPherson St. Knopf was uninjured and cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Sheffield Twp.

Liquor law. According to the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, on July 14, The Shaw House on 15 South Main Street furnished alcohol to a nineteen-year-old. The charges were brought before an administrative law judge who imposed a $1,250 fine and ordered compliance with the responsible alcohol management program and must remain in compliance for a period of one year.

DUI. According to state police, on Dec. 6 at 2:18 a.m., Bridget McPhillips, 24, Warren, was stopped for a traffic violation and determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said McPhillips was charged with Driving Under the Influence through District Judge Glenn Carlson.

Farmington Twp.

Crash. On Dec. 19 at 9:30 a.m., police said Dennis L. Roberts, 52, Warren, was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger north on Miller Hill Road north of Wentzel Road when he lost control of his vehicle and struck an embankment on the east side of the roadway. After hitting the embankment, police said the Ranger overturned and slid uphill, still traveling north. The vehicle came to a final rest facing south off the east berm of the roadway, according to police. Roberts was transported to Warren General Hospital for minor injuries and the Ranger was towed from the scene, police said. Roberts was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Pa. 59 east of Keenan St. on Dec. 17 at 5:54 p.m. A 2013 Ford Fusion, driven by Bonnie R. Wagner, 19, Lewis Run, was traveling at approximately 35 miles per hour when, while attempting to negotiate a left hand turn, the vehicle left the south side of the roadway and struck the guide rail, bounced off it, traveled across both lanes of travel, hitting the center of the bridge, causing disabling damage to the vehicle. Police said Wagner was transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. EmergyCare, Glade VFD and Koebley’s Towing assisted at the scene. Wagner was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

Pleasant Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that someone came to a home belonging to Helen Louice Scalise between Nov. 1 and Nov. 16. Police said the unknown individual was allowed entry into the victim’s residence and claimed to be visiting. During each visit, the unknown individual used the bathroom, during which they took money from the victim’s purse located in a bedroom by the bathroom. Southwest Twp.

Crash. On Dec. 19 at 3:05 p.m. police said Cathy Stevens was driving west on Route 27 near Swede Rd. at approximately 55 miles per hour when her 2010 Subaru Outback hit a patch of ice on the roadway, causing it to slide off the north side of the road and hit a culvert.After striking the culvert, police said, the vehicle went airborne and spun counterclockwise before hitting a tree. According to police, after the vehicle struck the tree, it spun clockwise before finally coming to rest on its wheels facing west. Stevens and both of her passengers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, police said, and were transported to Titusville Hospital for unknown injuries. Stevens was cited for driving too fast for conditions. In addition to state police, Garland and Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Departments assisted at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Bear Lake

Theft. According Corry-based state police, between Sept. 24 and Dec. 8, a known suspect stole a PNC Bank debit card from the purse of Mary Kathleen Johnson, 43, Bear Lake, and used the card to make multiple transactions at various businesses. Police said the card was also used to obtain cash from the victim’s bank account using an ATM. The incident is under investigation.

Jamestown, N.Y.

DWI. On Dec. 19 at 2:03 a.m. an officer from the Jamestown Police Department observed a green Ford Ranger traveling southbound on Foote Avenue without any lights on. According to police, as the officer was attempting to stop the vehicle, it drove over the curb on Foote Avenue and continued down the sidealk for a sort while. The driver, identified by police as Michael D. Hulings, 37, of Warren, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Police said Hulings was arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail for booking, where he submitted to a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content. According to police, the test confirmed that Hulings was driving at nearly three times the legal limit. Hulings was subsequently charged, police said, with unlawful possession of marijuana, no/inadequate lights, failure to maintain lane, DWI, and aggravated DWI.

Crash. City of Warren Police cited Alyssa Sheldon, 20, Warren with careless driving on Wednesday, Dec. 9, following a two car accident on Madison Avenue.

Cited. City of Warren Police cited Matthew Porter, 24, and Heather Ruby, 26, both of Warren, for harassment on Dec. 9 after officers responded to a report of an assault during a road rage incident.

Cited. City of Warren Police cited Skylar Williams, 24, Warren, for public drunkenness on Dec. 13 after she was allegedly witnessed having difficulty walking down the sidewalk.

Cited. City of Warren Police cited Sarah Munch, 22, Warren, with drivers required to be licensed following an investigation by police on Dec. 14.

Crash. Jose Bonilla, 60, Stafford, Tx., was cited for accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property on Dec. 14 following an alleged incident in which the tractor trailer he was driving struck a utility pole and he failed to report the accident to police and left the scene.

Conewango Twp.

Lost purse. On Wednesday, Dec. 15 officers of the Conewango Township police department received a complaint of a small purse/wallet that had been lost at Bob Evans on Sunday, December 13. Police said the owner of the lost property is offering a reward for its return. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 726-0725.

Burglary. Sometime between Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 13, someone removed a Shark Professional Vacuum and a large pack of AA batteries from Faith Bible Church, Jackson Run Rd. Anyone with information is asked to contact Conewango Police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Freehold Twp.

Theft from a motor vehicle. Corry-based state police reported that on Dec. 14 at 10:30 p.m. someone entered an unlocked vehicle belonging to Linda J. Perrin, Bailey Hill Rd., located at her residence and removed approximately $200 in tools before fleeing the scene.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Dec. 12 at 5 a.m. on Howard Rd. east of Akeley Rd. A Ford vehicle, unknown model or driver, made impact with a deer, crossed into the eastbound lane and continued across the east side berm and down an embankment. The vehicle then struck five wooden fence posts as it traveled east and turned northwest up an embankment and proceeded across the eastbound berm and continued in a northwest direction crossing the eastbound lane. The vehicle re-entered the westbound lane and continued to proceed west on Howard Rd. without stopping.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Dec. 8 at 7:45 a.m. on Valentine Run Rd. west of Peterson Hollow Rd. A 2000 Ford Escort, drive by a 17-year-old male, Russell, was traveling east and traveled onto the berm, continuing for approximately 100 feet. The vehicle then traveled back into the eastbound lane where it went approximately 42 feet in a northeasterly direction. The vehicle then crossed into the westbound lane and traveled approximately 110 feet before crossing back into the eastbound lane. It continued to travel approximately 80 feet in a southeasterly direction until it left the roadway and traveled onto the berm. The vehicle then went approximately 75 feet down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof. Police said the juvenile was not injured but was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between Nov. 22 and Nov. 28 someone stole various fishing lures from a mailbox belonging to Shawn T. Barkley, Jackson Ave. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police said that sometime between Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. and Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. someone damaged the propeller collar on the victims boat located at a private residence on Priest Hollow Rd. belonging to Jack Richard Passinger, Sr. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Pittsfield Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between Nov. 21 and Nov. 29 someone arrived at a private garage located on Rt. 6 belonging to Frank B. Lyszaz, 74, Magnola, Tx., and gained entry by prying a door open. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed a Miller aluminum spool gun and 50 feet of 3/4″ copper wire from an electrical panel. Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29 Bradley E. Huling, 33, Corry, removed a 2008 Dodge Avenger SDN from the victim’s residence without the permission of the victim, a 64-year-old male, Pittsfield. Huling was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson and placed in the Warren County Jail after failing to post bail.

Spring Creek Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Dec. 8 at 7:55 a.m. on Mickle Hill Rd. east of Torpedo Rd. A 2006 Ford Ranger, driven by Michael McCann, Spartansburg, was traveling east and lost control on the ice covered roadway, causing the vehicle to travel 30′ off the south berm striking a ditch. After impact, the vehicle traveled 150 feet along the south berm rolling over onto its roof. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Dykes Towing. McCann sustained minor injuries and was transported to Corry Memorial Hospital for the treatment of what police described as minor injuries.

Clarendon

Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on Dec. 14 at 8:35 p.m. Justin Kenneth Zuck, 33, Clarendon, and Gilbert Lee Shirley, 51, Warren, became involved in a physical altercation at Exchange St. Police said harassment charges were filed against both parties with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Theft. Warren-based state police are investigating a theft of two tires from a utility trailer belonging to Robert G. Nearing, Clarendon. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Burglary. Corry-based state police reported that sometime on Dec. 8 or Dec. 9 someone took one pack of batteries, a battery checker, one pair of Mountain King rubber boots and $20 from a Center Road residence belonging to William T. Cochrane. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.

Glade Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 8 a.m. on Nov. 17 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 11 someone broke a window and vinyl siding at a residence belonging to Douglas Alan Scholar, Jackson Avenue, with an unknown projectile. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Pine Grove Twp.

Theft of motor vehicle. Warren-based state police reported that someone removed a 2003 Polaris ATV belonging to Paul Kemery, Bradford, that was located outside of his brother’s residence. The ATV is believed to have been taken sometime between the late night hours of Dec. 11 and the early morning hours of Dec. 12. Spring Creek Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between Nov. 28 and Dec. 6 someone poked a hole in a sunporch belonging to Gloria Short, Short Lane, causing damage and also took four solar-powered predator alarms from her chicken coop without consent. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Clarendon

Retail theft. Warren-based state police reported that at 10:25 a.m. on Dec. 1 someone entered the Dollar General and began shopping. While in the store, the individual opened a bottle of detergent and poured the contents of a bottle of Clorox into the detergent, with the intent of depriving the retailer of the full value of the Clorox. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Chautauqua Co., N.Y.

Meth production. An investigation into the unlawful manufacturing and trafficking of methamphetamine led officers from the Jamestown Metro Task Force and the NYSP CNET to execute a search warrant on Dec. 11 at 6:45 a.m. at 221 E. 8th St., Jamestown, N.Y. The investigation revealed that methamphetamine was being manufactured at the location and the premises was search with the assistance of the Jamestown Police Department’s Patrol Division. Inside, investigators located materials that are used to manufacture methamphetamine and a quantity of methamphetamine. Investigators have charged Harry J. Radke, 39, with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Investigators were also assisted by the NYSP Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team which secured the dangerous chemicals from the scene. Police said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.

Conewango Twp.

Not guilty. Gary W. Chuzie, 48, Warren, was found not guilty of a retail theft charge by District Justice Laura Bauer on Friday. He had been charged earlier this month.

Theft by deception. On Nov. 29, Krystin E. Papaserge, Jamestown, N.Y., cashed a check in the amount of $112.83 to make a purchase at Walmart. The check she cashed belonged to Amber Carlson, Warren, and was used without Carlson’s knowledge or consent. Police subsequently charged Papaserge with theft by deception for the violation.

Aggravated assault. On Dec. 5 at 10:16 a.m. the Conewango Township police were dispatched to Bob Evans Restaurant for a report of a suspicious female attempting to gain entry into other people’s vehicles in the parking lot. Police said they made contact with Samantha Ann McGaughey, Prospect Street, Warren, who was visibly under the influence of an unknown substance. Police said as they attempted to take McGaughey into custody, she became irate and violent. McGaughey struck police multiple times with her hands and fingernails. Police said they ultimately were forced to tase McGaughey in order to subdue her and take her into custody. McGaughey was then transported to Warren General Hospital for evaluation. DUI. City of Warren police reported that Crystal Arnold, 24, Warren, was charged with DUI and careless driving following a one-car accident on St.Clair Street on Oct. 27.

DUI. City of Warren police reported that Jesse Huddleston, 33, Warren, was charged with DUI and careless driving following a one-vehicle accident on Conewango Ave. on Nov. 18.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that Jeremy Miller, 22, Warren, was cited for following too closely on Nov. 30 following a 2 car accident at Pennsylvania. Ave. and Liberty St.

DUI. City of Warren police reported that Samantha McGaughey, 28, Warren, was charged with DUI second Offense and DUI controlled substance after police responded to a report of an intoxicated subject on Nov. 30.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that Kevin Davis, 50, Sugar Grove, was cited for a stop sign violation following a two-car accident at Conewango Ave. and Jackson Ave. on Nov. 30.

Loitering and prowling. City of Warren police reported that a 14-year-old male was charged with loitering and prowling at nighttime, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. A 16-year-old male was charged with loitering and prowling at nighttime and disorderly conduct on Dec. 2 after police were dispatched to a report of two males hiding in the bushes between houses at 10:10 p.m.

Noise disturbance. City of Warren police reported that Syngyn Swartz, 18, Warren, was cited for a noise disturbance on Dec. 4 after police responded to his residence for a barking dog for the third time in less than a month.

Columbus Twp.

Theft by deception. Corry-based state police are investigating an incident where Richard Allen Larue, 64, Corry, wrote a bad check in the amount of $1,990 to Morton’s Satellite. Police allege that Larue purchased two televisions knowing he had insufficient funds in his bank account. A criminal complaint was filed with District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office for theft by deception and bad checks.

DUI. Corry-based state police reported that on Dec. 5 at 2:19 a.m. a vehicle drive by Erie Reese, 29, Jamestown, NY, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. Police said he will face charges of DUI and related summary violations through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Harassment. Corry-based state police reported that they were contacted in reference to an assault at a private residence on E. Main St. in Columbus on Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. Upon investigation, it was determined that a known 61-year-old male, Columbus, and a known 31-year-old female, Union City, became involved in a verbal altercation. Police said the male subsequently struck the victim in the face with an open hand. Police said charges against the suspect, who was not identified, will be filed with District Justice Arthur Zerbe.

Wanted. Jamestown City Police are currently investigating a double homicide that occurred on Tuesday morning at 235 Barrows St. Investigators are searching for 51-year-old Alan P. Witruke, who is believed to be operating a silver 2009 Chevrolet Impala with New York license plates GTY 5855. Police suspect he may be en route to Wisconsin, but his whereabouts are unknown at this time. Anyone with information on the suspect’s location is asked to contact the nearest law enforcement agency.

Theft by deception. Joshua P. Perez, 31, Jamestown, NY, has been charged with a felony theft by deception after the results of an internal investigation done by Radio Shack. Police said Perez is responsible for taking over $4,133.28 accumulating since September of this year. Police filed charges with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Eldred Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that someone entered the residence of Marcelyn Faye White, Sanford Rd., Pittsfield. After gaining entry, someone took numerous pieces of jewelry and an unknown amount of change. Anyone with information is asked to call state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that someone entered the residence of Jeffrey Lee Elletson, Mickle Hill Rd., Pittsfield, and took numerous firearms, a compound bow, a hunting jacket and an unknown amount of change. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Sugar Grove Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on Nov. 29 at 1:47 a.m. troopers stopped a vehicle on Page Hollow Rd. for a headlight out. Through the course of the traffic stop it was apparent that the operator of the vehicle, Matthew Downey, Pittsfield, was intoxicated. Police said the operator was put through field sobriety tests and then placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Police said charges are pending.

Crash. State police report that at 5 a.m. on Dec. 3, Cody Culp, Centerville, Pa. was traveling east on Mickle Hill road when his 1997 Ford Explorer entered a left hand curve too fast for conditions, and he lost control. The vehicle left the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned onto its roof. He was charged with failure to drive at a safe speed.

Elk Twp.

Crash. State police report that at 6:26 a.m. on Dec. 3, Jeffrey Moore, Russell, was traveling west on Fox Hill Road east of the King Road in a 2011 GMC Canyon when he lost control on a right hand curve. The vehicle slid sideways and crossed the eastbound lane before striking a tree. He suffered a moderate injury, and was charged with failure to drive at a safe speed.

Conewango Twp.

Harassment. Conewango Township Police report that at 5:04 p.m. on Dec. 4, officers were dispatched to 3640 Jackson Run Road for a domestic disturbance/fight in progress. A non-traffic citation was issued to a known male juvenile for harassment at Distric Justice Laura Bauer’s office. The suspect’s name was not released.

Mead Twp.

Disorderly conduct. State police report that at 1 a.m. on Dec. 6, Ashley Marie Streit, 26, Mead Township, became extremely agitated and was yelling cna cursing multiple times in a public area, causing a disturbance. she was told multiple times to stop, but continued to become more irate. Streit was arrested, charged with disorderly conduct and placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Pleasant Twp.

Liquor law violation. The Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reported that the Forester Restaurant, 4 Lenhart Road, Pleasant Township, sold alcoholic beverages after their liquor license expired on July 31, 2014 and had not been renewed and or validated through the month of Aug. 2014. An administrative law judge imposed a fine of $1,250.

Simple assault. State police reported that at 5:10 p.m. on Nov. 25, Linda Lea Ford, 66, and George Kenneth Main, 50, both of Mohawk Avenue, became involved in a verbal disagreement that turned physical. Both sustained injuries as a result of the altercation. An investigation is pending.

A similar report was filed last week involving physical contact between Ford and Means at noon on Oct. 30. No charges have been reported.

McKean County

Criminal mischief. State police in Kane report that Dillon Hochstine, 18, of Warren, and Chad Chadwell, 23, Keating Township, McKean County were charged with criminal mishief after throwing a rock through the window of a residence on Route 46 and driving a motorized wheelchair over several glass yard lights. The charges were filed through District Justice Willam Todd in Smethport.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Access device fraud. State police are investigating a report of access device fraud after unknown person(s) made unathorized purchases at two locations sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 17. Conewango Twp.

Retail theft. On Dec. 2 at 2:45 p.m. Walmart Loss Prevention witnessed Gary Chuzie, Warren, conceal $12.11 worth of merchandise deep inside a large bag of decorative cotton while shopping in the store. Chuzie then went to the self checkout register where scanned and paid for the cotton, but did not pay for the items concealed inside. Police subsequently charged Chuzie with retail theft for the violation.

Simple assault. Warren-based state police reported that on Oct. 30 at noon Paul K. Langil, 27, and Seth Michael Hunsberger, 22, Warren, became involved in a verbal disagreement that resulted in physical contact. Police said Hunsberger sustained injuries as a result of the altercation and that charges of simple assault and harassment were filed against Langil at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Theft by deception. On Dec. 1, Austin Tyler Campbell, Warren, purchased two car stereo spears from Walmart in Corry at a very low sale price of $42.40. The following day, Campbell returned the same speakers to the Walmart in North Warren without a receipt. Campbell then received a refund in the amount of the original price of the speakers, $288.15. Campbell then kept the $245.75 difference for himself. Conewango Township police subsequently charged Campbell with theft by deception for the violation.

Pleasant Twp.

Simple assault. Youngsville

Public drunkenness. Joshua A. Farnsworth, 24, Water St., Warren, was cited for public drunkenness after a Youngsville Police officer was called to an unresponsive male on N. Main St. Farnsworth was transported to Warren General Hospital for evaluation. Charges have been filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Chautauqua Co., NY

Narcotics arrest. Investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the NYSP CNET executed a search warrant this morning at 903 N. Main St. after an investigation revealed that the location was being used to traffic illegal narcotics. Entry into the residence was gained with the assistance of the Jamestown Police SWAT team and, once inside, investigators located 52 bags of heroin that were packaged for sale along with a small amount of prescription pills. Investigators also located Tatiana Lopez, 21, and Annabelle Rodriguez, 43, along with two small children inside the residence. Both suspects are being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Lopez is being charged additionally with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and another count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both subjects are currently being held in the city jail and are awaiting arraignment.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on Nov. 29 at 2:11 a.m. Bryan S. Esser, 40, Erie, was observed to be intoxicated after he was stopped for committing a traffic violation on Route 666. Police said charges were filed with District Justice Glenn Carlson.

Chautauqua

County, NY

Narcotics arrest. An ongoing investigation into the sales and trafficking of narcotics in the Jamestown area led investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the NYSP CNET to execute a search warrant at 8 Cowing St. at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday morning. Investigators were assisted by the Jamestown Police Department’s SWAT team with entry into the residence. Once inside, investigators located Michelle N. King, 32, and Robert AJ. Porter, 23, both of Jamestown, as well as a quantity of methamphetamine, prescription pills, paraphernalia and cash. Police said both subjects were charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal using drug paraphernalia. Both suspects are currently being held in the city jail awaiting arraignment.

Narcotics arrest. Officers from the Jamestown Police Department and the Chautauqua County Probation department did conduct a home visit on Wednesday morning of a treatment court participant that resulted in the seizure of a quantity of heroin and a large sum of cash. Police said that Lynn J. Jackson, 36, was found to possess a quantity of heroin and more than $4,000 in cash during the check of his residence. With the assistance of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the NYSP CNET, Jackson was taken into custody and has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and is currently in the city jail awaiting arraignment.

Twp.

DUI checkpoint. Warren-based state police conducted a DUI checkpoint on Route 6 on Nov. 28 from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. Two DUI arrests were made in addition to 12 traffic citations and 20 warnings for summary violations of the Pennsylvania vehicle code. Police said 51 vehicles were contacted during the checkpoint.

Mead Twp.

Fraud. According to Warren-based state police, on Nov. 30 between noon and 1 p.m., someone used a counterfeit $20 bill at the Dollar General, Route 6, to pay for merchandise. Police are investigating.

Southwest Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Nov. 24 at 9:50 p.m. on Rt. 27 north of Goodwill Hill Road. According to police, a 2007 Ford Focus, driven by Brady A. Jones, 60, Pittsfield, was traveling north when for unknown reasons Jones lost control, causing the vehicle to travel off of the east berm and strike an embankment. After impact, police said the vehicle traveled an additional 144 feet before re-entering the roadway. Police said Jones failed to regain control causing the vehicle to continue to spin in a counterclockwise direction, traveling 138 feet off the east berm and striking a utility pole. Police said Jones sustained minor injuries in the crash and was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic. Police said the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Harassment. According to Warren City Police, Michael Himes, 44, and Theresa Himes, 48, both of Warren were cited for harassment on Nov. 20 after police responded to a domestic dispute at 12:45 p.m. Police said they responded again at 4:06 p.m. and Michael Himes was cited for harassment following a second domestic dispute.

Harassment. Danielle Stewart, 30, Warren, was cited for harassment, police said, after officers responded to a domestic dispute on Nov. 22.

Forgery. Warren City Police said Julie Baughman, 52, Warren, was charged with altered or forged prescriptions and pharmacy act – unlawful activities after police received a report of an altered prescription at a local pharmacy.

Simple assault. Nicole Sullivan, 25, Warren, was charged with simple assault and harassment on Nov. 25 after police responded to a domestic dispute, police said. She was placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Flashing signals. Police said Richard Evans, 59, Warren, was cited for flashing signals on Nov. 25 following a two-vehicle accident at Third Ave. and Liberty St. at 5:30 a.m. when he did not stop for a flashing red light.

Pedestrian crossing. According to police, a juvenile was cited for pedestrians crossing at other than crosswalks on Nov. 25 following an accident where the juvenile was struck while crossing a street not in a legal crosswalk.

Disorderly conduct. Michael Ayrassian, 23, Kane, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness on Nov. 26 at 2:14 a.m. when police responded to a fight at a local establishment, police said.

License suspension. Christina Potter, 38, Warren was cited for driving while suspended on Nov. 26 following a two-car accident on Sixth Avenue, according to police.

Simple assault. According to police, Darrel Beaton, 47, Warren, was charged with simple assault and harassment on Nov. 27 after police responded to a domestic dispute. He was placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Public drunkenness. Samantha Skinner, 33, Sugar Grove, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct on Nov. 28, police said, after officers received a report of a female walking down the middle of the street.

Harassment. Joseph Campman, 30, Warren, was cited for harassment on Nov. 28 after police responded to a past tense fight, Warren City Police said.

Public drunkenness. Martin Morse, 56, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on Nov. 30 after police received a report of a male lying in traffic at 1:50 a.m., police said.

Bear Lake

Criminal mischief. Corry-based state police reported that between Nov. 26 and Nov. 27, someone used a blunt instrument to strike the mailboxes of Lester Henry Shamp, 60, Bear Lake, and Emily E.
