Charged. According to Conewango Township Police, at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Katie Marie Smith, 20, Jamestown, NY, was seen taking merchandise out of its packaging and putting it in her purse at Walmart in North Warren. Walmart loss prevention stopped Smith when she tried to leave the store and valued the merchandise at $67.89. Conewango Police subsequently charged Smith with a summary charge of retail theft.

Retail theft. Conewango Township Police report that a retail theft of a Dell desktop computer on June 21 was reported by WalMart Loss Prevention. WalMart’s report shows three subject, one white female and two white males left the store premises in an amber colored SUV, believed to be an Isuzu Amigo or similar type vehicle with New York registration. Anyone with information about the vehicle or subjects are asked to contact Conewango Township Police at 726-0725.

Forest Road 437

Search and rescue. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched on Saturday, June 27, to assist the U.S Forest Service in locating a lost camper in the Allegheny National Forest. Stephen Baker, Mentor Ohio, was last seen at his campsite, located of Forest Road 437 at approximately 2 a.m. on June 27. At the time, Baker was reported to be highly intoxicated, and he became disoriented while walking to his tent from a camp fire. At approximately 5:30 p.m., he was reported as missing to a Chapman State Park officer. A search was conducted throughout the night, until 5:30 a.m. by the Sheriff’s Office, the Forest Service, Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department, the Northwest Pa. K-9 Search and Rescue. The search resumed on Sunday at 8 a.m. by the previously listed units, plus Sheffield and Starbrick VFDs, and Elkland Search and Rescue. He was found at approximately 11 a.m. on Sunday by two Forest Service employees, walking along a roadway in the Hearts Content area. He was transported to Warren General Hospital for observation and treatment of severe dehydration. The Red Cross provided lunch to the volunteers at Pleasant VFD.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. State police report that Lauren R. Hitchcock, 18, Russell, was traveling west on Route 957 in a 2002 Jeep Liberty at 1:15 a.m. on June 27 when her vehicle drifted across the eastbound lane into a ditch north of Stanton Hill Road. The vehicle traveled west approximately 135 feet until it struck a culvert with its bumper and undercarriage, traveled across a dirt road as it rotated clockwise, rolled onto the right side of its roof and then rolled back into a ditch on its wheels and came to a rest facing east. She was transported to Warren General Hospital by Russell Ambulance, and cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Warren

Protection from abuse violation. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies arrested Marlee N. Huddleson-Thomas, 29, North Warren after Warren County Adult Probation Officers were conducting a curfew/compliance check and found her hiding in a crawl space in a residence at 300 Pleasant Drive. She had been evicted and excluded from the residence, and she also had contact with the plaintiff of the PFA order. Huddleson-Thomas was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Bad checks. Warren City Police report that Michele Pattison, 31, Warren was charged with bad checks and Theft by deception on June 24 after she wrote a check for $588.00 to a local business that was returned for non-sufficient funds.

Disorderly conduct. Warren City Police report that Samantha Bevevino, 21, Warren was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, defiant trespass and public drunkenness on June 22 after officers responded to a report that she would not leave a residence after being told to.

Underage drinking. Warren City Police report that Brian Jashurek, 20, and Johnathan Williams, 20 both of Warren were cited for underage drinking on 6/24/2015 after police responded to a domestic dispute.

Mead Twp.

DUI. State police reported that at 11:05 p.m. on June 25, an unnamed female, 33, of Kane, was found to be under the influence of drugs following her involvement in a non-reportable crash on Route 6 near Morrison Run. She was traveling westbound when her 2011 Chevrolet Cruze drifted across the road into the eastbound lane and struck a guide rail on the southern shoulder of the road.

Criminal mischief. Conewango Township Police report that sometime between 10:30 p.m. on June 25 and 8 a.m. June 26, someone damaged the window of a PennDOT-owned Bobcat skid steer that was parked off the roadway in the 3000 block of Jackson Run Road. Burglary. According to Pennsylvania State Police, someone broken into a Route 127 residence between 4 and 6:20 p.m. Saturday, June 20, and removed three guns, a rifle case, ammunition, a foldable knife, and knife sharpener. Clarendon

Arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ashley Streit, 25, of 874 Griff Hill Rd., on a bench warrant at 11 a.m. Thursday at her residence. Deputies said the warrant was issued because Streit failed to appear for court on original charges of receiving stolen property. She was taken to Warren County Jail.

Youngsville

Arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by state parole, arrested Steven Klark, 32, of 411 N. Main St., on three bench warrant at 2 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. The warrants were issued for failure to appear for fines and cost hearings on original charges of theft by deception and bad checks, according to deputies. Klark was taken to Warren County Jail.

Theft. According to Pennsylvania State Police, at about 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, someone drove up to a property on Hunter School Road, attached a black, dual-axle trailer to their vehicle – reportedly a dark color SUV – and drove away to the east on Route 27. Sugar Grove

Twp.

Burglary. According to Pennsylvania State Police, between July 1, 2014, and June 5, 2015, someone stole a number of items, including a Husqvarna rototiller, a Delta planer, a Harbor Freight dust collector, 18-quart roaster pans, a Dremel drill press work station, a DR string trimmer, three handmade lamp, a ShopVac, a Dewalt jigsaw with case, and an indoor electric grill, from Chandlers Valley Trailer Park. Youngsville

Theft. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Jacob Spinney, 29, last known of Youngsville, stole credit cards belonging to Elaine McIntyre of Youngsville and used them at multiple locations between April 24 and May 1. A criminal complaint was filed through District Justice Art Zerbe’s office. An arrest warrant was issued for Spinney and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Cited. Warren City Police said a male juvenile was cited for harassment on June 13 after police responded to a domestic dispute.

Cited. Warren City Police said Ernest Seber, 75, Warren, was cited for limitations on backing and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles following a hit and run accident on Grant Street on June 14.

Charged. Warren City Police said Douglas Haight, 22, Warren, was charged with theft by deception on June 19 following an investigation.

Theft by deception. On June 17, a scam victim reported to Warren-based state police that someone had acquired her bank account number, debit card number, PIN number and computer serial number via telephone, and removed $219 from her account. Bench warrant. Warren County Sherrif’s Deputies, with assistance from Corry-based Pennsylvania State Police arrested Andrew M. Sventek, 28, of Corry on two bench warrants for failure to appear for fines and costs court, as directed by President Judge Maureen Skerda. Sventek was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Conewango Twp.

Simple assault. State police report that at approximately11:50 a.m. on June 20, on Timothy Lane, Ayin Samuel Jayne, 32, Warren, and a known victim, 53, were involved in a verbal dispute that turned into a physical altercation. Police said the victim sustained minor injuries, and Jayne was committed to the Warren County Jail via an emergency commitment.

Farmington Twp.

DUI. State police report that at 6:30 p.m. on June 14, Joseph Greggory Pitner, 24, Sugar Grove, was involved in a crash on Route 957, east of Lanning Hill Road. The accused’s vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and entered a ditch after impacting a barbed wire fence and a metal farm gate, according to police. Pitner attempted to remove the vehicle from the ditch prior to the arrival of police, but was unable to do so, police said. Upon further investigation, it was suspected that Pitner was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody and transported to PSP Warren for chemical testing. Breath results determined that his BAC to be above the legal limit, police said. Charges were filed at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office against Pitner for three counts of DUI, careless driving and four summary traffic violations.

Youngsville

DUI. State police report that at 4:48 p.m. on June 19, Jeffery Scott Seybert was observed operating a vehicle with an expired inspection on Main Avenue in Youngsville. During the traffic stop, police said he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DUI and charges will be filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Simple assault. Youngsville Police Department reports that at approximately 9 p.m. on June 20, officers were called to an assault that took place at 135 West Main Street. Joseph Hensley, 20, is being charged with simple assault after he allegedly struck a known 18-year old female with an open hand during an altercation at the residence. Charges are being filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

County, N.Y.

Drug arrests. On Thursday, June, 18, U.S. Attorney William Hochul Jr. of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Buffalo announced the arrests of six people. The arrests are based on a federal grand jury indictment of a cocaine distribution operation that is centered in Dunkirk. The organization headed by Rafael Burgos Jr. and David J. Pagan was dismantled during a series of search warrants and arrests in Dunkirk that have been conducted over the past week. On Wednesday, June 10, agents of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the DEA arrested Pagan and then executed six search warrants in Dunkirk. Later on this date Burgos surrendered to authorities at the Dunkirk Police Department. Both of these subjects were subsequently arraigned in the Federal Court in Buffalo and are currently held without bail awaiting further action of the court. As a result of the searches, agents seized over seven kilograms of cocaine, over $175,000 U.S. currency, an AR-15 assault rifle with a 30-round magazine as well as three luxury vehicles and other proceeds of the cocaine distribution network. On June 18, agents of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, DEA., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Dunkirk Police Department, armed with arrest warrants located and arrested Angel Pierluissi, Alvin Torres Jr., Samuel Hernandez III and Javier Pagan Jr. These four subjects are all initially charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.

Pittsfield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a motorcycle-SUV accident at 4:31 p.m. Wednesday on Route 6. According to police, Jacalyn L. Pierce, 64, Pittsfield, was turning left onto Ross Street from Route 6 when Joni D. Owens, 58, Pittsfield, collided with the passenger side of Pierce’s 2006 Jeep Liberty with her 2003 Honda Rebel. Police said Owens suffered unknown injuries in the crash and was airlifted to UPMC Hamot, Erie. Police said Owens was wearing a motorcycle helmet. Youngsville volunteer firefighters and EMS responded to the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police said Pierce was uninjured.

Pleasant Twp.

Crash. On Tuesday, June 16, at 9:20 p.m., Warren-based state police said Philip H. Brown, 52, Warren, was driving north on Pleasant Drive near Honhart Drive when he hit the guide rail with his 2006 Toyota 4 Runner. The vehicle went back across the lane and hit a 2006 Toyota 4 Runner driven by Laurie L. Matson, 40, Warren, police said, before Brown’s vehicle hit the guard rail on the southbound side and stopped. According to police, both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. In addition to state police, Pleasant volunteer firefighters and Warren City Ambulance responded to the crash. Police said Matson and her passenger received minor injuries and, while Brown was uninjured. Police said he was charged with driving on right side of roadway.

Sheffield Twp.

Simple assault. Warren-based state police responded to Dunham Street on Tuesday, June 16, at 5:10 p.m. According to police, Crystal L. Lamere, 34, assaulted a known male victim by biting him in the arm and breaking skin. Police said Lamere was arrested for simple assault and became combative with the arresting officers. Lamere was transported to the state police barracks where, police said, she became combative again and spat on a trooper. Lamere was placed in Warren County Jail pending arraignment.

DUI. Pennsylvania State Police charged Cody Joe Baker, 28, of Glade Township with DUI after he was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop at 2:08 a.m. June 5 on Route 62 near Vine Street in North Warren.

Pleasant Twp.

Firearms. Pennsylvania State Police charged Amy Sue Vibbert, 44, Warren, with a firearms violation. Police said they obtained and served a search warrant on June 15 on Cold Spring Lane and recovered a shotgun. Vibbert was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson. Bail was set at $10,000 and Vibbert was taken to Warren County Jail.

Charged. Warren City police said a 16-year-old female was charged with false reports to police and transmission of sexually explicit images by a minor on June 4 following an investigation.

Charged. Warren City police said Josef Hillard, 22, Warren, was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and defiant trespass on May 29 after officers responded to a report of a male on the railroad trestle.

Cited. Warren City police said Ashlee Williams, 25, Warren, was cited for confinement and housing of dogs and transfer of dog license on June 2 after police received a report that one of her dogs had bitten a person.

Charged. Warren City police said Brenda Knisely, 38, Warren, was charged with furnishing liquor to a minor on June 5 after police were contacted regarding harassment.

Charged. Warren City police said Melany Foust, 38, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI .10 to .16 percent first offense, traffic control signals and restraint systems on June 11 following a traffic stop on May 31.

Cited. Warren City police said Keith Larson, 26, Warren, was cited for harassment on June 4 after police responded to a past tense domestic dispute.

Charged. Warren City police said Kevin Findley, 20, Warren, was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, purchase of alcohol by a minor and terroristic threats on June 3 after police responded to past tense fight at Beaty Park. He was placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Charged. Warren City police said Joseph Kavinski, 64, Warren, was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct on June 5 after he assaulted an employee at Warren General Hospital.

Cited. Warren City police said Melina Jenkins, 38, Warren, was cited for harassment on June 5 after police responded to a report that she was repeatedly harassing a neighbor.

Cited. Warren City police said Brady Carl, 19, Warren, was cited for following too closely on June 5 following a two-car accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue E. and Cedar Street.

Cited. Warren City police said Audrey Taylor, 73, Warren, was cited for moving stopped or parked vehicle on June 6 following a two-car accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue W. and Hickory Street.

Possession. Warren City police said a juvenile male was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on June 7 after officers made contact with him while he was out past curfew.

Mead Twp.

Theft. Pennsylvania State Police report that at 9 p.m. on June 7, someone removed a bicycle from a residence on Chapman Dam Road.

Pleasant Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on June 14 at 12:55 a.m. police were responding to a report of an assault at the Wilderness Park Trailer Park where Gregory English, 39, Warren, was identified as a person of interest. Police said English was observed driving a 2007 Kia Optima along Mohawk Ave. south of Elk Rd and was stopped pursuant to the investigation and found to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of an open can of beer. Police said English was arrested for DUI and related traffic violations.

Simple assault. Warren-based state police reported that on June 14 at 12:40 a.m. a known 25-year-old female victim and a known 39-year-old male, both of Warren, were at a party at Wilderness Park Trailer Park consuming alcohol to intoxication. Both engaged in a verbal argument over the male voicing his personal opinions about the victim. Police said the victim confronted the suspect and the suspect punched the victim in the mouth resulting in the victim’s lip being torn. Police said a criminal complaint is pending on the suspect.

Chautauqua Co.,

NY

Narcotics arrest. An ongoing investigation into the sales and trafficking of heroin in the Jamestown area led investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force to execute a search warrant at 220 McKinley Ave. at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Inside the apartment investigators took Moises J. Lopez, 23, into custody and did locate the equivalent of 237 bags of heroin and a loaded .38 caliber pistol. Investigators also located a quantity of cash, sales and drug packaging materials inside the apartment. Lopez has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal using drug paraphernalia. Lopez is currently in the city jail awaiting arraignment. The investigation is continuing, police said, and more charges are expected. Anyone with information on the illegal sales and trafficking of narcotics is asked to contact the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force.

Assault. Conewango Township Police have charged Kevin T. Youngquist, 61, Warren, with simple assault and harassment after responding to a report at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at 215 N. State St., North Warren. According to police Youngquist assaulted a 53-year-old man. Charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

False reports. Conewango Township Police were dispatched on June 3 at 8:36 p.m. to the North Warren area for a report of an attempted child abduction. After an investigation, police determined the report was fabricated. Police said a male juvenile who reported the incident as the victim has been charged with false reports and referred to the Warren County Juvenile Probation Department. Warren City Police, Pennsylvania State Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

Arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Todd Muroski, 43, of 112 Sixth Ave.,at noon Wednesday on two bench warrants issued by Warren County Court of Common Pleas Domestic Relations for failure to appear at hearings.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Crash. All three occupants of a car involved in an end-over-end crash at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday were transported for treatment of injuries. According to Warren-based state police, a car driven by Jamie Porter, 27, Meadville, was westbound on Route 426 when it left the right side of the road. Police said the driver over-corrected to the left, causing the vehicle to cross the eastbound lane and strike an embankment. The vehicle flipped end over end “an unknown number of times” before coming to rest in a culvert on the south side of the road, police said. Porter and his passenger, Nicole Winiecke, 20, were transported to Corry Memorial Hospital. Passenger Gregory Lindner, 21, was flown by emergency helicopter to UPMC-Hamot, Erie. Youngsville and Garland volunteer firefighters, Corry Ambulance, and Emergycare assisted at the scene.

DUI. Sueanne Stuart, 46, Irvine, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop at 9:50 p.m. May 22, on National Forge Road, according to Warren-based state police.

Conewango Twp.

Theft. Conewango Township Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with retail theft after he allegedly opened $58 worth of merchandise at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday inside Walmart then concealed the merchandise on his person before leaving the store. Police said a citation was filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Triumph Twp.

Crash. A Grand Valley man was charged with roadways laned for traffic after a 2:43 a.m. Sunday crash on Tidioute Enterprise Road. According to Warren-based state police, Nick C. Roxberry, 40, left the scene after his car struck a guide rail then entered a ditch.

Clarendon

Crash. The driver of a car involved in a two-vehicle crash at 6:21 p.m. Monday on Route 6 was charged with stop signs and yield signs. According to Warren-based state police, Ashley E. Ciepiela, 20, Clarendon, was attempting to turn onto Route 6 from Brown Avenue, when her car entered the path of and was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Marsha L. Worling, 65, Brookville. Police said Ciepiela was transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment of injuries. Clarendon volunteer firefighters responded to the scene.

Tidioute

Stolen car. According to Warren-based state police, a 1982 Pontiac Firebird owned by Blaydon F. Niles, 23, of Falconer, N.Y., was left unlocked with the keys inside at the True Value parking lot off Main Street. Police said the car was allegedly stolen between 1 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. “The vehicle was later discovered totally engulfed in flames” along Route 62, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at 728-3600 or Warren County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-83-CRIME.

Youngsville

Charged. A Youngsville woman was charged with hindering apprehension after allegedly hiding a wanted person in her residence. According to Warren-based state police, Mary Devore, 65, was charged after police told her that hiding a wanted person in her residence was a crime as she “provided sanctuary” for a person who was wanted on misdemeanor charges.

Theft. According to Conewango Township Police, on June 9, Jacob B. Klein, 34, Warren, was charged with one felony county of theft by unlawful taking. Police said in January, a resident of Conewango Township paid Klein $6,000 to complete a home improvement project. After receiving the money, police say Klein discontinued communication with the resident and never did any work.

Pine Grove Twp.

Arrest. At about 7 p.m. on June 3 Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Dustin M. Wybiral, 23, at his Akeley Rd. residence on a warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for fines and cost court on the original charge of forgery. He was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Sheffield Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that Timothy Jay Smith, 50, Sheffield Twp. subjected a known 55-year-old female, also of Sheffield Twp., to unwanted physical contact following a verbal altercation at a private apartment on Horton Ave. on June 6 at 4:42 a.m. Police said charges of harassment will be filed through District Justice Glenn Carlson.

Watson Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Dunham Mills Rd. on May 24 at 4:32 a.m. Robin Michael Kagle, 25, Tidioute, was traveling west approximately 1/2 mile west of Hearts Content Rd. Kagle’s vehicle traveled off the north side of the roadway, striking a large rock. Impact with the rock caused the vehicle to spin clockwise while traveling backwards approximately 20 feet. The vehicle came to rest back in the westbound lane of traffic facing north. During the investigation, police said, Kagle was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Charges of driving under the influence and several summary traffic violations were filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Erie County

Warrant arrest. At about 1 p.m. on June 6 Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by Corry City Police arrested Bryan Hart, 48, Claremont, NC, on five warrants issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for fines and cost court on the original charge of DUI, driving under suspension, harassment and contempt. He was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Erie. At about 3:30 p.m. on June 8 Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by Erie City Police arrested Heather M. Brown, 25, Jamestown, NY, in Erie on a warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for fines and cost on the original charge of use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Conewango Twp.

Crash. Conewango Township Police reported that on May 30 at 6:47 p.m. a one-vehicle accident occurred near 5326 Jackson Run Rd. According to police, Robert Ritchie, Warren, was traveling south on Jackson Run Road when his vehicle drove off the southbound lane of the roadway, struck a tree, causing a rollover and catching fire. Two passing motorists pulled Ritchie from the vehicle before police arrived on the scene. Police, in an updated release on June 8, said that Ritchie was found to be under the influence of alcohol and charged with DUI and driving on roadways laned for traffic. Police said charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Harrassment. Corry-based state police are investigating and incident that occurred on Saturday, June 6, at 10 p.m. on Still Water Road involving a known 50-year-old victim being struck in the face with a closed fist by a known 77-year-old male. Police did not identify the accused.

Glade Twp.

Theft. According to state police, sometime between 6:45 and 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, Theodore Urban, Erie, reported that someone stole his tan and black Orvis fly rod while he was fishing in the area of Dixon Island. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or Crime Stoppers.

Watson Twp.

Crash. Pennsylvania State Police said at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, John A. El, 55, Warren, was stopped in the northbound lane of Route 62 when his 2011 GmC Yukon was rear ended by a 1998 Ford F-150 driven by Jacqueline R. Toombs, 79, Tionesta. Toombs was charged with careless driving and her vehicle was towed from the scene while El’s vehicle was able to be driven after being pulled from a ditch.

Youngsville

Drug arrest. On Thursday, June 4, 2015 at approximately 11:30 p.m. an Youngsville Police officer conducted a traffic stop on Christopher Kin at the intersection of US 6 and Old Pittsfield Rd. in Youngsville. During the traffic stop, police seized a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. King 27, Garland, and Passenger Michael Navas, 24, Warren, are both being charged with the drug violations. Tim McMillen, 26, also a passenger, was taken into custody at the scene by Warren County Probation officers and place in the Warren County Jail. Charges will be filed with District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Harassment. Warren-based state police received a report from a known 44-year-old female victim that she was struck by a known 40-year-old male at Warren State Hospital on June 3 between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Police said a non-traffic citation was filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office for summary harassment. Police did not identify the accused.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on June 3 at 4:20 p.m. on Priest Hollow Road at a parking area for a water trough just west of Egypt Hollow Road. According to police, a 2005 Honda Civic, driven by Melvin C. Uplinger, 48, Youngsville, was attempting to turn left and travel west from the parking area onto Priest Hollow Road while a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Jeffrey L. Carlstrom, 61, Russell, was traveling east on the roadway. Police said Uplinger pulled his vehicle into the path of Carlstrom’s vehicle. After initial impact, Uplinger’s vehicle traveled across the roadway spinning clockwise and came to rest over an embankment along the westbound berm. Police said that a passenger in Uplinger’s vehicle, 44-year-old Nikki L. Chase, Youngsville, and Carlstrom both sustained minor injuries. Police said Uplinger was cited for vehicle entering roadway.

Youngsville

Harassment. Youngsville Borough Police filed a harassment citation against a 13-year-old female student from Youngsville Elementary Middle School for slapping and punching another female student in the face on June 3. Charges have been filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Assault. A staff member at the Beacon Light facility in Youngsville reported to Youngsville Borough Police that he was physically assaulted by a male client on May 30. The victim reported being struck in the head and face area several times by the client. Police said charges of assault will be filed with the Warren County Juvenile Probation Department.

Theft. On June 5, a Youngsville Elementary Middle School staff member reported to Youngsville Borough Police that her cellular phone was taken from her desk drawer on Thursday. The phone was later recovered on Friday morning and a suspect has been named. Charges are pending further investigation by police.

Harassment. The mother of a 13-year-old Youngsville Elementary Middle School student reported to police that her son was grabbed around the neck and thrown to the ground by another 13-year-old student. Charges of harassment will be filed against the offender, police said.

Disorderly conduct. Youngsville Borough Police reported that a 56-year-old female told police that she was approached by a known 46-year-old male, Youngsville, while at Kwik Fill in Youngsville and he yelled obscenities at her after she beeped her horn at him to avoid a collision. The male approached her passenger side window and started yelling at her. A non-traffic citation has been filed with District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office. Police did not identify the accused.

Disorderly conduct. Warren-based state police said a 58-year-old homeless man was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident at 5:15 p.m. June 3 at the Dollar General store on Route 6. According to police, the man walked around the store removing signs from the shelves and screaming vulgarities and obscenities toward the employees when they asked him to stop and leave the store. Police said a citation was filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Youngsville

Burglary. Youngsville Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on College Street sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26. It was reported that $150 cash was taken from the residence. No damage was done by the forced entry into the residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 563-7555 or call Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Criminal mischief. A College Street resident reported to Youngsville Police that someone threw raw eggs at their home sometime after dark on Tuesday, May 26, possibly causing damage. A glass jar was also smashed in the victim’s driveway area.

Disorderly conduct. Youngsville Police responded to Youngsville High School on Tuesday, May 26 in the morning for a report of a disruptive students. Police said a male student refused to comply with YHS staff. Police said when told to go to class he became agitated and started using profanity in the main office and shoved an administrator while exiting the office. Police said charges will be filed with District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Cruelty to animals. Warren County Humane Society Police Officer Karen Kolos reported that on April 30 Matthew Henry, Warren, pleaded guilty to one count of cruelty to animals before District Justice Glenn Carlson for abandonment of a male beagle on March 31 which was owned by Henry. Fines, court costs and restitution was granted.

Cruelty to animals. Warren County Humane Society Police Officer Karen Kolos reported that on May 5 Kristina Johnson, Warren, pleaded guilty to one count of cruelty to animals before District Justice Glenn Carlson for neglecting and failing to provide food and necessary veterinary care for a black lab owned by Johnson. Fines, court costs and restitution was granted.

Youngsville

Home security scam. On Monday, June 1, Youngsville Borough police were notified of a telephone scam by local residents. The residents received a phone call from an individual stating they were calling because it was reported that a burglary recently happened within 30 miles of their home and the individual wanted to know if the residents wanted to update or install a home security system. The residents hung up on the caller and did not give them any information but wanted the public to be aware of this. Police said this is the first report of this type of scam in the Youngsville community. The police encourage citizens to not give our personal information over the phone and to not make any statements as to whether or not they currently have a home security system or when they will be out of town this summer.

Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a three-vehicle accident on June 1 on Route 62 at the intersection with National Forge Road. Police said the crash occurred as a 2013 Subaru Forester, driven by Renee J. Samuelson, 63, Sheffield, and a 2008 Pontiac Torrent, driven by Jeremy D. Wagner, 25, Warren, were stopped at the intersection facing north, waiting for traffic to make a turn onto National Forge Road. According to police, Nathan J. Duffy, 35, Warren, was traveling north in a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer on Route 62 and was distracted when reaching for an item in the car, rear-ending Wagner’s vehicle into Samuelson’s vehicle. No injuries were reported but Duffy and Wagner’s vehicles were towed from the scene. Police said Duffy was cited for driving at unsafe speed.

DUI crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on May 28 at 11:25 p.m. on Route 6 east of Abraham Hollow Road. A known 29-year-old female, Corry, was driving a vehicle that left the roadway into a ditch. Police said the operator, who was not named in the report, was arrested for DUI and that charges will be filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Conewango Twp.

Pine Grove Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between 10 p.m. on May 24 and 7 a.m. on May 25 Douglas Burge, Russell, allowed a known female, Mayville, N.Y., and her two children to stay the night at his house. Police said Burge awoke to the suspect and the children leaving his house in the morning, later to find that he was missing $50 and his late mother’s diamond necklace. Police said the incident will remain open pending further investigation.

Pittsfield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Davey Hill Road at its intersection with Rocky Ridge Road on June 1 at 7:15 a.m. According to police, a 1993 GMC, driven by Jason A. Bowers, 29, Warren, was traveling south on Davey Hill Road and attempted to negotiate a left-hand turn when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled across the northbound lane and into a ditch, which caused disabling damage. Police said Bowers was transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Police said Bowers was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Garland and Tidioute volunteer firefighters responded to the scene.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on May 22 at 2:43 p.m. on Route 6 south of Country Lane. Police said the crash occurred when a 2004 Ford F-150, driven by Sandal E. Badger, 67, Sheffield, crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Vincet D. Rovansek, Marienville. Police said Badger was found to be intoxicated at the time and was taken into custody and charged with DUI. Police said the investigation continues.

Columbus Twp.

Crash. According to Corry-based state police, at 6:54 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, Ira S. King, 39, Spartansburg, was traveling west on Sample Flats Road in Columbus when he started to turn right. As King slowed down, police said Gerry C. Williams, 50, Grand Valley, hit the right rear of King’s 2005 Ford F-250 with his 2012 Ford Focus. The F-150 continued another 150 feet before stopping with moderate rear end damage, police said. The Focus stopped facing south with disabling front end damage. The Focus was towed while the F-250 was able to be driven away. No injuries were reported, but Williams was cited with following too closely.

Glade Twp.

Criminal mischief. Pennsylvania State Police said between 11 p.m. on May 23 and 6:13 p.m. May 24, someone threw rocks at a Decker Transportation school bus that was parked at the end of Pine Wood Lane. The driver side windshield was broken and the rear emergency exit window was shattered, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Warren-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Criminal mischief. According to state police, sometime between May 27 and May 29, Gerald VanHouten, Warren, reported to police that someone shot holes through a road sign at the intersection of Perry Road and Shipmans Eddy Road.
