Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Jan. 28 at 6:53 a.m. on Sr. 27 north of Sanford Rd. A vehicle, whose driver is not known, was traveling south on Sr. 27 and crossed the center dividing line into the northbound lane of travel, striking a mirror of a 2011 vehicle, make not identified, driven by David W. Bialo, Oil City. The unknown vehicle then continued traveling south on Sr. 27 while Bialo’s vehicle came to rest on the east shoulder of Sr. 27.
Pittsfield Twp.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Jan. 27 a known 69-year-old male, Pittsfield, entered the garage of a 88-year-old man of Couvers Crossing Rd., Pittsfield, and stole approximately $15,000 worth of items. Police said the incident is under investigation.

Charged. Warren City Police said David Cressley, 46, Warren, was charged with retail theft on Jan. 19 following a report that he had removed $7.09 of merchandise from a store without paying for it.
Charged. Warren City Police said Terrie Woodruff, 41, Clarendon, was charged with bad checks and theft by deception on Jan. 26 after three checks issued to a local grocer totaling $200.66 were returned for non-sufficient funds.

Twp.
Access device fraud. Carol Gregorson, Clarendon, reported to Warren-based state police that her debit card was used between Jan. 21 and 22 without her permission.
Conewango Twp.
Retail theft. On Jan. 27 at 6:51 p.m. Conewango Township police responded to a retail theft at Walmart. Police said prior to their arrival, two suspects had fled from the scene. Police said they spoke with Loss Prevention personnel who stated Shad M. Gutshall, Warren, took possession of a Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phone valued at $279. When stopped by Loss Prevention, Gutshall dropped the phone and left the store. Loss Prevention also told police that Linda L. Vinopal, Sheffield, took possession of several cosmetic and pet items valued at $43.46. When stopped by Loss Prevention, Vinopal gave all items concealed back to Walmart and fled the store. Police said charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action.
Retail theft. On Jan. 8 at 8:35 p.m., Conewango Township police responded to Walmart for a retail theft. Police said they met with Loss Prevention personnel who told police that Rosalee A. Renninger, Russell, did not ring up several items in self-check out for a total of $24.14. Police said during their investigation, it was found that Renninger had committed the same act on Dec. 13 for a total of $82.41, Dec. 20 for a total of $7.74, Dec. 31 for a total of $33.23 and on Jan. 3 for a total of $115.65. Police said Renninger is being charged with five summary counts of retail theft. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action. Police said they also charged Christina M. Lewis, Russell, for involvement in the same acts on Dec. 31, Jan. 3 and Jan. 8. She has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of retail theft. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 62 north of Werner Drive on Jan. 25 at 1:10 a.m. According to police, a 2005 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Zachary S. Leone, 25, Jamestown, N.Y., was traveling north on Route 62 and struck the northbound embankment before rolling over into the northbound lane. Leone and a passenger, 24-year-old Rebecca Wojciechowicz, also of Jamestown, denied injury and were both wearing their seat belts. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Russell volunteer firefighters and EmergyCare assisted at the scene. Police said Leone was cited for driving on roadways laned for travel.
Triumph Twp.
Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between Jan. 27 at 9 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 6:30 a.m. someone entered a vehicle belonging to a known 59-year-old male, Tidioute, and took a black and green crow call and nine gold dollar coins. The suspect(s) then fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Bear Lake
False alarms. Corry-based state police said they are investigating an incident that occurred as multiple false alarms were set off at the residence of Jane Sue Kuykendall, 55. Police said they have responded to a total of ten false alarms in a consecutive 12-month period. Charges have been filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.
Youngsville
Theft. Staff at Youngsville Elementary Middle School reported to Youngsville Borough police that someone stole a weigh scale on Friday, Jan. 16 at approximately 1 p.m. from a science classroom. Retail theft. Conewango Township police were dispatched to Walmart for a retail theft on Jan. 20 at 6:25 p.m. Upon arrival, Walmart Loss Prevention personnel stated that the offender left the area but they were able to obtain a registration plate from the fleeing vehicle. Police said during an investigation, which included obtaining video surveillance tapes, they found that Tyler C. Morrison, Sugar Grove, concealed $14.70 worth of merchandise without paying for the items. Police said one count of summary retail theft was filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action.
Sheffield Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Horton Avenue south of Route 6 at 11 a.m. Jan. 19. According to police, a 2912 Mack CXU-613, driven by Matthew F. Roth, 31, Rochester, N.Y., was turning right onto Horton Avenue from Route 6. Police said Roth failed to make the turn wide enough, subsequently resulting in the back half of the trailer striking the nearby railroad crossing arm apparatus. Roth then continued, police said, south on Horton Avenue, unaware of the damage that had been caused. No injuries were reported and police said Roth was not cited.

Crash. Warren City Police reported that Ashley Lyle, 30, Warren, was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and operation following suspension of registration on Jan. 12 following a two-car accident at the intersection of Conewango Avenue and Jefferson Street.
Criminal mischief. Warren City Police reported that Michael Roberts, 47, Warren, was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness on Jan. 16 following an investigation by officers into a report that 16 victims had their vehicles damaged. Roberts was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson and placed in the Warren County Jail on $25,000 bail.
Crash. Warren City Police reported that Carol Stone, 69, Warren, was cited for traffic control signals following a two-car accident at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Liberty Street on Jan. 20 after driving through a red light.
Crash. Warren City Police reported that Mary Petrof, 60, Warren, was cited for limitations on driving on the left side of the road following a two-vehicle accident on Jan. 21 at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Pine Street.
Public drunkenness. Warren City Police reported that Jill Solock, 48, Warren, was cited with public drunkenness on Jan. 24 after she was observed by officers having difficulty walking and having trouble getting up after falling at 2:17 a.m.
Harassment. Warren City Police reported that Aaron Anderson, 30, and Krystal Beil, 20, both of Warren, were cited with harassment on Jan. 25 after officers responded to a report to a domestic dispute.
Criminal trespass. Warren City Police reported that Domingo Blume-Hearn, 18, Warren, was charged with criminal trespass – break into structure, after police were called to a reported break-in in progress on Jan. 23 at 10:49 a.m. He was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson and placed in the Warren County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Found property. Warren-based state police reported that between 2 and 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 22 a private property owner found assorted tools and clothing on his property near Abraham Hollow Road. The owner of the items can provide a description and claim the property with the state police.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported between Jan. 1 and Jan. 22 some tools belonging to David Rensma, Youngsville, were stolen from his garage. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Conewango Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 22 at 12:45 p.m. Alexis Leigh Ann Cotten, 25, Warren, subjected a known 41-year-old female of Sugar Grove to physical contact at Warren State Hospital while the victim was coming to the aid of another staff member who was being assaulted. Cotten struck the victim multiple times, and bit the victim once, causing minor injury. Harassment charges were filed against Cotten at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office in North Warren via a non-traffic citation.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Jan. 21 at 5:49 p.m. on Rt. 6 west of Scott Run Road. According to police, a 2012 Mercedes-Benz E350, driven by Javed Ahmad, 47, Russell, was traveling east on Route 6 and lost control on the snow-covered roads, left the eastern berm, struck the guide tail and then traveled back across both lanes of Route 6, spinning in a clockwise motion. The vehicle came to rest in the median. Police said the vehicle suffered moderate front end damage as a result of the crash and was towed from the scene. Ahmad, police said, was not injured.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 25 at 9 a.m. Deborah Kramer, 57, Warren, subjected a known 55-year-old female from Sugar Grove to physical contact by grabbing her by the hair and throwing her to the ground while at Warren State Hospital. Kramer then kicked the victim in the abdomen while she was on the ground. Kramer was charged with harassment through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Deerfield Twp.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that someone arrived at a camp on Tidioute Creek Road, belonging to a known 57-year-old male, and gained entry through a rear window. Once inside, the unknown suspect removed a 26-inch Trek bicycle, blue in color. The intruder then rode the bicycle south on Tidioute Creek Road toward Tidioute, police said. Total estimated loss is $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Farmington Twp.
Scattering rubbish. Warren-based state police said they are investigating an incident in which a bag of a 23-year-old Russell male’s personal refuse was found on the property of another person, just south of Peterson Hollow Road between noon and 8 p.m. on Jan. 21. Police said charges would be filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Drug possession. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 22 at 2:10 p.m. a small amount of suspected marijuana was found inside a student’s locker at Warren Area High School. Police said the investigation is continuing.
Mead Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Rt. 59 east of Kinzua Dam on Jan. 25 at 8:32 a.m. According to police, a 2004 Ford Ranger, driven by Kayla L. Kraft, 21, Warren, was traveling west on Rt. 59 when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow- and slush-covered roadway while negotiating a right hand curve. The vehicle continued traveling westbound, crossing the yellow center line and entering the eastbound lane. The vehicle continued to travel west, completely crossing the eastbound lane of traffic. The vehicle continued to travel west, completely crossing the eastbound lane of traffic before it left the roadway along the eastbound shoulder. Once the vehicle left the roadway, the driver’s side front end hit an embankment and rolled onto its passenger side. The vehicle continued to travel west before completing a rollover and coming to rest on its roof in the eastbound lane. Kraft was trapped inside the vehicle and required mechanical extraction provided by Clarendon volunteer firefighters. Once freed from the vehicle, she was transported to Warren General Hospital via ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Clarendon VFD also assisted with traffic control.
Sugar Grove
Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Jamestown St. east of Stoddard Rd. on Jan. 18 at 4:50 p.m. According to police, a 2003 Ford Explorer, driven by Ronald T. Huntington, 18, Jamestown, N.Y., was traveling south on Jamestown St. when he lost control of the vehicle on the snow- and slush-covered roadway causing the vehicle to travel 64 feet off the west berm striking a road sign. After impact, the vehicle continued to travel south approximately 302 feet along the embankment then rolling onto its roof. The vehicle came to rest on its roof facing west. Huntington was transported to WCA Hospital, Jamestown, N.Y., and a passenger, Sarah E. Smith, 18, Sugar Grove, was transported to Warren General Hospital for what police described for both as moderate injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Police said Huntington was cited with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Crash. A Warren woman was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed after she was injured at 8:32 a.m. Sunday in a one-vehicle crash on Route 59. According to Warren-based state police, Kayla L. Kraft, 21, was driving westbound when she lost control of her truck on the snow- and slush-covered road. Police said the truck crossed the center line and the entire eastbound lane, struck an embankment, and started to roll over, before returning to the eastbound lane and coming to rest on its roof. Police said Kraft was trapped in the vehicle, which was cut open by firefighters from Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department. Kraft was taken to Warren General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to police.

Bad checks. Conewango Township police reported that on Dec. 18 Terrie Jayne Woodruff, Clarendon, issued two checks to Fox’s Pizza for a total amount of $155. Police said both checks were later returned to Fox’s Pizza indicating insufficient funds in Woodruff’s account. Woodruff received a 10-day bad check notice from the business and failed to make restitution. Police said Woodruff was subsequently charged with two summary counts of bad checks.
Pittsfield Twp.
Access device fraud. Warren-based state police have arrested Domingo Blume-Hearn, 18, Warren, for using a stolen credit card, belonging to a 75-year-old male, Pittsfield, at several local businesses. Police said a total of $789.82 was charged. Blume-Hearn was arraigned in front of District Justice Glenn Carlson and bail was set at $10,000. Blume-Hearn was committed to the Warren County Jail.
Youngsville
Terroristic threats. Youngsville Borough police reported that on Jan. 20, officers were called to Youngsville High School for a known 16-year-old juvenile making threats to blow up the school. Police said the student was taken into custody until a parent could pick the student up. Charges are being filed with Warren County Juvenile Probation.
Burglary. Youngsville Borough Police were called to 15 E. Main St. on Thursday at approximately 10:50 a.m. for a reported burglary. Police said the owner of Darcy’s Hair Boutique told officers that when she arrived at her business the front door was open. When she went inside, police said, someone had ransacked her place leaving drawers and cabinets open. Money was also missing from inside her shop. Anyone with information is asked to contact the borough police at 563-7555.
Burglary. Youngsville Borough Police were contacted by the owners of a business at 7 E. Main St. on Thursday at approximately 11 a.m. to report that someone had entered the basement area of their business and stole three Coca-Cola canisters. Anyone with information is asked to contact the borough police at 563-7555.
Possession. Youngsville Borough Police were called to Youngsville Elementary/Middle School on Friday, Jan. 16, for a 14-year-old student in possession of a marijuana pipe. Police seized the pipe and the student was later released to a guardian. Police said the juvenile will be charged with drug paraphernalia and small amount of marijuana. Charges will be filed with Warren County Juvenile Probation.

Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported that on Jan. 21 at 3:45 p.m. Devan J. Reese, Warren, stole $28.53 worth of Dust Off compressed air from Wal-Mart. Police subsequently charged Reese with one count of retail theft.
Sugar Grove
Retail theft. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 19 at 6:59 p.m. at the Kwik Fill an unknown white male filled two gas cans with kerosene and then proceeded to fuel a silver F-150 with gasoline. Upon completion, the suspect proceeded to leave the gas station without paying and began heading east on Sr. 69. The vehicle is believed to have a NY registration plate that was removed from the rear of the vehicle at the time the crime was committed. Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by Erie County Probation and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest of Jeffrey Joseph Grove, 48, Erie, on a bench warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs on Jan. 21. Grove was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.
Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Corry Police in the arrest of Rubik W. Higby, 32, Corry, on Jan. 21 a bench warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs. He was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.
Cattaraugus County, NY
Warrant arrest. At about 2 p.m. on Jan. 22, Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies, with the assistance of the Salamanca Police Department, arrested Jennifer Marie McIntyre, 30, Salamanca, NY, at the Cattaraugus County Prison on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for calendar call. McIntyre was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Pine Grove Twp.
Theft. Warren-based state police reported that on Sept. 22 between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Deborah Jean Glover, 53, Bridgeville Pa. and Ashville, NY, along with a yet to be identified black male, worked together to steal a Luepold laser range valued at $298 from Tall Tales Sporting Goods. The in-store surveillance video was obtained and information from store employees assisted in the identification of Glover. Glover was charged with one count each of theft, receiving stolen property and conspiract to commit theft. Police said that further court action is pending against Glover and that the investigation into identifying the male associated with the theft continues.

Bench warrant. Pennsylvania State Constables reported arresting Kyle J. Clark, 27, Warren, on Jan. 20 at 9 a.m. on a bench warrant for driving without insurance and failure to respond issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Clark was taken before Carlson and remanded to the Warren County Jail.
Arrest warrant. Pennsylvania State Constables reported arresting Christopher A. Zaffino, Jr., 30, Warren, on Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. on an arrest warrant for abandoning a motor vehicle issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Zaffino was taken before Carlson and released pending further court actions.
Brokenstraw Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on the Old Pittsfield Rd. east of Abraham Hollow Rd. on Jan. 18 at 2:50 p.m. A 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek, driven by Amanda M. Rounds, 35, Youngsville, was traveling west on the Old Pittsfield Rd. and lost control of her vehicle while traveling through slush on the edge of the roadway. Rounds tried to regain control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and strike a utility pole. Police said Rounds sustained minor injuries in the accident and was cited for driving on right side of roadway. Bob’s Garage towed the vehicle from the scene.

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies reported assisting Corry police in arresting Christian D. Liebegott, 21, Corry, on Jan. 20 on a bench warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs. He was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Charged. Warren City Police said Daniel Beers, 56, Warren, was charged with two counts of DUI after police were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on Dec. 24.

Warren City Police said Hunter Smith, 21, Sheffield, was charged with three counts of DUI, loitering and prowling at night, accidents involving unattended vehicle or property, driving on roadways laned for traffic and driving at a safe speed following a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Park and Madison avenues on Dec. 31 at 12:53 a.m.
Cited. Warren City Police said Brittany Horner, 25, Warren, was cited for emerging from alley, driveway or building following a two-vehicle accident at Liberty Street and Fourth Avenue on Jan. 10.

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies reported arresting Shane R. Holt, Grand Valley, at his residence at 2:07 p.m. on Jan. 19 on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas domestic relations section for failure to pay and failure to commence his six month jail sentence. Holt was placed in the Warren County Jail to commence his sentence.

DUI. According to Pennsylvania State Police, charges of DUI stemming from an incident at 5 p.m. on April 11, 2014 have been filed through District Judge Glenn Carlson against Joanna E. Santilli, 35, for a crash on Route 6 in Sheffield Township.

Trespass. According to Pennsylvania State Police, at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, Aaron P. Arena, 18, entered a home on School Street in Mead Twp after being told to leave. Police said Arena fled the scene before police arrived. Charges have been filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office and police say they have issued a felony warrant.

Counterfeit. According to Pennsylvania State Police, between 5 and 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, someone passed a counterfeit $5 bill at the Pleasant Volunteer Fire Deptartment bingo hall. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or Crime Stoppers.
Tidioute
Scam. Tidioute Borough police reported that a 21-year-old female, Tidioute, was scammed out of $130 when she ordered off a website called Express Pets for her baby and they told her to send payment through Western Union, which she did at the Clarion K-Mart. The money went to Tiko, Buea, Cameroon. They then asked her to send another $400 and she called police.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that Karen McMillen, 71, Warren, was cited for driving a vehicle at a safe speed on Jan. 8 following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Third Avenue and Hickory Street.
Crash. City of Warren police reported that Stevie Lester, 21, Warren, was cited for operation of a vehicle without certificate of inspection following a two-vehicle accident on Jan. 8 at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Market Street.
Public drunkenness. City of Warren police reported that Misty Roberts, 26, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on Jan. 10 after police received a report of a suspicious person.
Conewango Twp.
Retail theft. Warren-based state police responded to Walmart on Dec. 24 at 1 p.m. for two known female juveniles who allegedly concealed $157.36 in merchandise with the intention of not paying for the items. Police said misdemeanor juvenile petitions have been filed.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Jan. 12 at 7:25 a.m. on Route 6 at the intersection with the Route 6 East on ramp. Police said a 2014 Dodge Caravan, driven by Katie L. Wynn, 32, Pittsfield, was traveling east and she lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the eastern berm and into the Route 6 eastbound on ramp. The vehicle struck a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500, driven by Heather Branstrom, 32, Pittsfield, which was sitting on the Route 6 East on ramp waiting to pull out. Police said Wynn’s vehicle sustained disabling damage while Branstrom’s vehicle sustained minor rear-end damage. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Wynn was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.
Glade Twp.
Bomb threat. Local officials announced on the Warren County Public Safety Facebook page that the Warren Area High School administration was notified of a potential bomb threat on Wednesday afternoon. Warren-based state police were notified and conducted a search of the building as a safety precaution.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Jan. 11 at 4:32 a.m. on Rt. 62 south of Timberview Lane. Police said a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Christopher D. Riggle, 27, Warren, was traveling southbound on Rt. 62 when a horse entered the roadway. The vehicle narrowly avoided collision with the horse and Riggle made an illegal u-turn in the roadway in an attempt to retrieve the animal from the roadway. As he began making the turn, a 2010 Nissan Versa, driven by Anthony R. Dougherty, 27, Celeron, N.Y., was approaching southbound. Police said Dougherty observed the horse, which was now stopped in the southbound lane of Rt. 62, and swerved his vehicle around the animal to avoid collision. Police said as Dougherty maneuvered around the animal, his vehicle began to slide southbound on the snow/ice covered roadway. Dougherty attempted to regain control of his vehicle but failed to do so. The vehicles collided while Riggle was executing the u-turn. Dougherty’s vehicle sustained disabling damage. Upon impact, Riggle’s vehicle rotated counterclockwise approximately 180 degrees before coming to rest facing north, partially in the northbound lane and a turning lane located just south of Timberview Lane. Police said both drivers were uninjured as a result o the accident. Neither driver was cited.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that between Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 7:45 a.m. someone forcefully entered North Auto Crushers in Russell. Once inside, a total of $700 was removed and the front door frame was damaged, with estimates for that at $100. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Access device fraud. Warren-based state police reported that between Jan. 9 and 12 someone used a credit card belonging to a known 65-year-old male, Pittsfield, to make multiple purchases. Police said total amount of the purchases is $789.82.

Warrant arrest. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Steven J. Wedge, 27, Warren, on Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. on an arrest warrant for harassment with physical contact issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Wedge was taken before Carlson and released pending further court actions.
Bench warrant. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Brandon E. Towne, 29, Warren, on Jan. 9 at 3 p.m. on a bench warrant for operating without insurance and failure to respond to traffic citations issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Towne was taken before Carlson and released pending further court actions.

Crash. Corry-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 958 on Jan. 12 at 3:25 p.m. According to police, a 2005 Ford Escape, driven by Michael A. Sahli, 59, Tidioute, was traveling north on Route 958 and he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and traveled off the east side of the roadway striking a tree. After the vehicle struck the tree it then rolled over, coming to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Police said Sahli was not injured in the accident but was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Retail theft. Conewango Township police said Jessica Hann, 32, Jamestown, N.Y., entered Lowe’s at Warren Commons on Nov. 15, 16 and 17 and left without paying for merchandise with a total value of $1,346. A criminal complaint has been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office. Police said Hann had an accomplice on Nov. 15 and charges are pending.
Columbus Twp.
Crash. On Jan. 9 at 5:30 a.m., Christine Haehn, 39, Columbus, crashed into a guide rail on Scotts Crossing Road after traveling too fast for road conditions, according to Corry-based state police. Police said her vehicle had to be towed from the scene, and charges will be filed at District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.
Crash. Corry-based state police report that Karen L. Manglona, 39, Corry, was traveling on Carol Hill Road when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and rolled over. Her vehicle had to be towed from the scene, and charges will be filed at District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.
Harassment. Corry-based state police reported that on Jan. 9 between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. a known 20-year-old female and known 26-year-old male were engaged in a physical altercation at 16902 Plank Rd. Police said harassment charges will be filed against both individuals.
Glade Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police report that at 10 p.m. on Jan. 4, Dakota J. Hochstine, 18, Warren, lost control of a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the snow-covered Jackson Avenue. The vehicle, which was traveling eastbound, left the roadway, traveled down an embankment and struck a tree. Police said Hochstine and his passenger, Dustin L. Coon, 18,Warren, both gave false statements to the investigating trooper. Hochstine was cited for driving at a safe speed, drivers required to be licensed, operating an unregistered vehicle, false reports, immediate notice of accident to police department and required financial responsibility. Coon was cited with false reports.
Pittsfield Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police report that David J. Attard, 52, Jamestown, N.Y., was transported by Youngsville Volunteer Fire Department ambulance to Warren General Hospital with a minor injury after his 2006 Toyota TC slid through the intersection of Page Hollow Road and Route 6 at 4:35 a.m. on Jan. 8 and struck a guide rail on the eastbound shoulder of Route 6. Police said a passing motorist helped Attard move the vehicle back onto Page Hollow Road and out of further potential danger. His vehicle was towed from the scene, and Attard was charged with failure to drive a vehicle at a safe speed.
Bear Lake Borough
False alarms. Corry-based state police are investigating multiple false alarms that were set off at the residence of Janet Sue Kuykendall on Greeley Street at 7:12 p.m. on Jan. 8. Police said troopers have responded to eight false alarms during the past 12 months. Charges have been filed at District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Aggravated assault. State police report that on Jan. 11 at 3:23 p.m. David Ross Nulph, 31, of Sugar Grove intentionally ran his vehicle into a victims truck multiple times while traveling south on Pleasant Street. The altercation ended when Nulph’s vehicle became stuck in a ditch off the south berm of Jones Hill Road. Nulph fled the scene, but was located in Warren on Jan.12. He was taken into custody on a felony warrant, arraigned before District Justice Laura Bauer, and committed to the Warren County Jail on $5,000 bail. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, reckless driving and several other summary traffic violations.

DUI. Warren City Police said Adam Raffaele, 28, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI – highest rate of alcohol, careless driving, and compliance with standards for diesel vehicles at 8:58 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 following a traffic stop.
Charged. Warren City Police said Robert Clever, 32, Warren, was charged with tamper with or fabricate physical evidence, and false reports following an investigation by police on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Theft. Warren City Police said Hannah Cooper, 23, Youngsville was charged with theft by unlawful taking on Wednesday, Dec. 24, following an investigation by police.
Trespass. Warren City Police said Keith Yates, 32, Warren, was cited for defiant trespass on Sunday, Dec. 21, after repeatedly returning to a place of business after being told not to return. He was placed in Warren County Jail on a detainer from probation.
Cited. Warren City Police said Rocky Fiscus, 23, Warren, was cited for harassment on Sunday, Dec. 28, after officers received a report of a domestic dispute that had taken place previously.
Assault. Warren City Police said James Mosher, 59, Warren, was charged with aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault on Tuesday, Dec. 30, following an investigation. He was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson and placed in Warren County Jail on $5,000 bail.
Assault. Warren City Police said William Turfitt, 22, Warren, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct after officers responded to a call of someone threatening people with a knife at 2:14 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at a local establishment. Turfitt was arraigned before District Justice Daniel Miller and placed in Warren County Jail on $25,000 bail.
Crash. Warren City Police said Zachary Peterson, 29, Warren, was cited with careless driving on Monday, Jan. 5, following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Conewango avenues.
Cited. Warren City Police said Alice Smith, 20, Warren, was cited for disorderly conduct on Wednesday, Jan. 7, after officers were called to a report that a person was pounding on the door of a residence and refusing to leave. Smith was placed in Warren County Jail with a bail revocation.
Conewango Twp.
Harassment. Conewango Township police reported that at 8:51 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, officers were dispatched to 4390 Jackson Run Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Police said Riley Brown, 19, Warren, was cited for harassment after subjecting a known male to physical contact. A non-traffic citation has been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Criminal trespass. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 2 at 11:15 a.m. they were contacted by a known 47-year-old female, Tiona, indicating that Aaron P. Arena, 18, Clarendon, was in her residence without permission after being told to leave. Occupants of the residence, including children, locked themselves in a bedroom due to the actions of Arena, who fled prior to police arrival. He was subsequently charged and an arrest warrant was issued. On Jan. 6, Arena turned himself in at the Warren County Jail. He was arraigned before District Justice Miller and bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
Pine Grove Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 3 at 12:50 a.m. Mark Philip English, 35, Pine Grove Twp., and a known 24-year-old female, Warren, entered into a verbal argument at a private residence on East St. in Pine Grove Twp. The argument escalated when English subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact. English was charged with harassment via non-traffic citation through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Sheffield Twp.
Theft. Warren-based state police have made an arrest from an incident where oil field pipe and equipment belonging to John Branch, Warren, was stolen, valued at $13,923 and $225 in damage that occurred in December 2013. Police said that on Dec. 30 criminal charges were filed and arrest warrants were issued. On Jan. 5, Dayle Scott Phinney, 26, Sheffield, was located at his residence. He was transported to District Justice Glenn Carlson’s office and was arraigned with bail set at $50,000 unsecured. Anyone with information about the second suspect, Bruce W. Barr, 26, Warren, is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Simple assault. Warren-based state police reported that Chester M. Brooks, 84, Sugar Grove, subjected a known 74-year-old female, Brockway, to physical contact and caused injury to the victim requiring hospitalization on Nov. 15, 2014. Charges of simple assault and harassment were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Warrant arrest. At about 10 a.m. on Jan. 6, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Joseph Jones, 29, of 31 South South Street on a bench warrant from the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear in court and on a bench warrant from District Justice Glen Carlson’s office for failure to pay fines and costs. Jones was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.
Conewango Twp.
Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported that officers were dispatched to Walmart on Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. for a report of a retail theft. Tiera Oswalt, 18, Sheffield, was observed by Walmart loss prevention concealing $38.94 worth of merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. A summary non-traffic citation has been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Pa. 957 west of Eisenhower High School on Jan. 6 at 7:40 a.m. A 2000 Chevrolet Tracker, driven by Tyler M. Gourley, 18, Sugar Grove, was traveling eastbound on Pa. 957 when Gourley lost control of the vehicle and left the north side of the roadway, striking an embankment and then a tree. The vehicle rolled onto its roof on the roadway as a result. Police said Gourley sustained minor injury in the crash and the vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Police cited Gourley for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

False reports. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 2 at 11:35 p.m. a known 46-year-old female, Warren, reported being struck multiple times by a known 23-year-old male, also of Warren. During the investigation, it was determined that the female made false reports to police regarding the incident and charges of false reports to police will be filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Crawford Co.
Crash. Corry-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Jan. 3 at 9:49 a.m. on Pa. 77 west of Old Rt. 77 in Sparta Township. A 2005 Jeep Liberty, driven by Mya F. Williamson, 30, Bear Lake, was traveling west on Pa. 77 and lost control on the ice covered roadway. The vehicle traveled off the south side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported and Williamson was not cited.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one vehicle accident on Jan. 3 at 11:23 a.m. on Sr. 62. A 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Gregory G. Tompkins, 47, West Hickory, was traveling north on Sr. 62 approximately one mile north of the Forest County line. Tompkins failed to negotiate a right hand curve when the vehicle started to fishtail. The vehicle went onto the northbound berm then Tompkins countersteered, causing the vehicle to cross the southbound lane, proceeding over an embankment before striking a tree. Tompkins was transported from the scene by Tidioute volunteer ambulance to Warren General Hospital for apparent minor injuries. Police said Tompkins was wearing a seat belt. Tidioute VFD and EmergyCare assisted police at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Frank’s Towing. Tompkins was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.
Mead Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that a known victim, of Tiona, had received ongoing unwanted communications from another party between Oct. 17 and Dec. 29. Police said the investigation continues.
Defiant trespass. Warren-based state police reported that on Jan. 5 at approximately 3:30 p.m. four miles up FR 160 near the Allegheny Reservoir James Lewis Riggle, 62, Youngsville, entered a property posted ‘No Trespassing’ belonging to a known 62-year-old, Youngsville. Riggle was cited for defiant trespass through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Dec. 31 at 7:44 a.m. on Rt. 62 at its intersection with Timberview Lane. A 2010 Nissan Versa, driven by Jessica A. Markel, 24, Warren, was traveling north on Sr. 62 and moved into the left turn lane. Markel then lost control while attempting a left turn onto Timberview Lane, hitting a utility pole. Markel was uninjured and was wearing a seatbelt. She was not cited. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Rarey’s Towing.

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies, with the assistance of Warren County Adult Probation officers, arrested Seneca Booth, 26, Clymer, NY, on a parole violation and a bench warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs. She was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.
Conewango Twp.
Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported that on Dec. 28 at 5:06 p.m. a male, approximately late 30s or early 40s, with a very thin build, wearing a black coat, black winter hat and blue jeans, stole a Dell desktop computer from Walmart valued at $368.88. When confronted by Walmart loss prevention when he was leaving the store, the offender placed the computer on the sidewalk outside of the garden center doors and fled the scene on foot. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Crash. Conewango Township police reported that on Dec. 31 at 3:50 p.m. Misty Sanders was traveling west on Jackson Run Rd. in her 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer. As Sanders approached the area of 2029 Jackson Run Rd., a Ford F-150, driven by Everett Rhoades, Sugar Grove, was coming to a stop in the roadway waiting for another vehicle to turn. Sanders saw Rhoades’ brake lights but was unable to stop her vehicle in time and subsequently collided into the rear end of Rhoades” vehicle. Sanders’ vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front end of the vehicle and was towed from the scene by Rarey’s towing service. Rhoades was able to drive his vehicle from the scene. No one was injured as a result of the crash. Sanders was issued a citation for following too closely.
Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported that on Dec. 10 at 8:10 p.m. a female, approximately in her mid-twenties with long brown hair in a pony tail, wearing a white winter coat with fur lined hood and blue jeans, stole two 32″ LED HDTVs from Walmart and then exited the store through the garden center pushing a shopping cart with the televisions inside. When confronted by loss prevention, the female fled through the parking lot, eventually abandoning the cart and televisions. The offender then got into a blue SUV (possibly a Chevrolet) and fled the scene. The female offender was also seen inside the store with a heavy set male, approximately in his mid-twenties, wearing a camo shirt and winter hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Conewango Township police.

Columbus Twp.
Crash. According to Corry-based Pennsylvania State Police, at 6 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 1, Jared Durlin, 27, Warren was traveling north on Scotts Crossing Road in a 2006 Volkswagon Jetta. Durlin failed to make a sharp, left hand curve and traveled 71 feet off the road and hit a tree with the middle front of the Jetta, according to police. Durlin suffered minor injuries and charges are pending according to police.
Conewango Twp.
Crash. Pennsylvania State Police said at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, Neftali Vellonbenitez, 34, Jamestown, NY., was traveling north on Route 62 behind Gregg Trisket, 57, Warren, when Trisket made a right turn in his 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. Vellonbenitez failed to stop his 2004 Mazda 3 and hit Trisket’s vehicle. Both cars were moved from the road. Vellonbenitez was charged for following too closely.
Glade Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Hatch Run Rd. on Dec. 23 at 5:30 p.m. A 2010 Subaru Forester, driven by Christine L. Rowan, 52, Russell, was traveling east on Hatch Run Rd. west of Wright Rd. While negotiating a left hand curve, Rowan lost control of the vehicle, traveling off the eastbound berm. The vehicle traveled approximately 51 feet before entirely leaving the roadway. The vehicle then traveled an additional 114 feet hitting brush and small trees along the way. The front of the vehicle then made impact with a larger tree. Police said Rowan was not injured in the crash. Glade VFD assisted police at the scene.
Mead Twp.
Simple assault. Warren-based state police reported that on Dec. 29 at 8:50 p.m. Ashley Marie Streit, 25, Clarendon, subjected a known 35-year-old male, also of Clarendon, to physical contact inside the victim’s residence. Streit was taken into custody and arraigned before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth. Bail was set at $10,000 unsecured.
Theft. Warren-based state police are investigating a theft of a SSDI card belonging to a 59-year-old woman. Between Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. and Dec. 22 at 4 p.m. the card was lost by the victim and at some point there was $1,400 stolen from the account. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Pleasant Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one vehicle accident on Lenhart Rd. south of Grunderville Rd. on Dec. 24 at 10:15 a.m. A 2005 Dodge Dakota, driven by Clarence R. Frederick, 75, Warren, was traveling west on Lenhart Rd. While going downhill and negotiating a left hand curve, the driver side rear wheel of the vehicle came off. After this mechanical failure, the vehicle traveled approximately 100 feet where it came to final rest in the westbound lane of the road. Police said Frederick was not injured and was not cited.
Sheffield Twp.
Theft by unlawful taking. Warren-based state police reported that an investigation indicated Christopher Carl Nelson, 36, Tiona, and Donnie Lloyd Edwards, 38, Sheffield, had removed approximately 5.4 tons of two inch pipe with a value of $1,242 from Cameron Energy between Dec. 11 and Dec. 17. The suspects were charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property through District Justice Glenn Carlson’s office. State police is investigating other incidents of pipe theft/scrapping in the Henrys Mills area of Sheffield Twp. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
