Conewango Twp.

Retail theft. Conewango Township Police said a juvenile male concealed $12.97 worth of merchandise without paying for the items at Wal-Mart. The juvenile was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft and was later released. Police said charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Limestone Twp.

Car fire. Warren-based state police said Phillip Franks, 38, Tidioute, was westbound on Bimber Run Road at 12:54 Monday when he notice a large amount of smoke coming from the engine compartment of the vehicle. Police said Franks stopped and got out of the vehicle, which became engulfed in flames. Tidioute volunteer firefighters responded and extinguished the fire.

Theft from motor vehicle. Warren-based state police said someone entered the residence of Patti Vargason, 32, 89 Tippy Lane, between April 27 and April 28 and then removed several items from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. Taken were a Garmin GPS, various CDs, loose change, a brown faux leather wallet, and $700 in cash. The estimated value of all the items stolen is approximately $890. Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police said Jonathan R. Stewart, 25, Warren, was pumping oil into plastic oil tanks along his lease when he started the first pump and left. The pump was on fire when he returned. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.

Conewango Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police said George T. Hyde, 58, 33 Main Dr., Warren, allegedly attempted to strike a Warren State Hospital staff member causing the victim to fall onto the floor. Police said Hyde will answer the charge before District Justice Laura Bauer.

Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said Richard A. Perry, Jr., 25, Warren, was cited with roadways laned for traffic after a one-vehicle crash on Route 6 at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, approximately six-tenths miles west of Dutchman Run Road. Police said the crash occurred as Perry was westbound in a 2004 Subaru Forrester and struck a guide rail and continued along it for 20 feet before traveling back across both lanes and striking the embankment off the eastern berm. Police said the vehicle spun in a counter clockwise direction and struck the embankment again and overturned several times before coming to a rest on its roof. Police said Perry suffered a minor injury. A passenger suffered a moderate head injury and another passenger suffered moderate left hand and arm injury as a result of the crash.

Pleasant Twp.

Theft of a motor vehicle. Warren-based state police said an incident of theft of a motor vehicle occurred at a private residence between April 25 and 26. According to police, someone removed a 2008 Can-Am Outlander XT 650 4X4 from the victim’s carport. The ATV is described as red in color, has a K&N sticker on it with front and rear racks and a winch. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Sugar Grove

Statutory sexual assault. Warren-based state police said a 17-year-old male was charged with statutory sexual assault and indecent assault after a 13-year-old female victim agreed to engage in sexual intercourse. Due to the victim’s age, the state police were made aware and an investigation began. Police said the 17-year-old male was charged through a juvenile petition at the Warren County Juvenile Probation Department.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police and Conewango Township police are investigating several cases of mailbox smashing and damaged motor vehicles in Conewango and Pine Grove townships. Police said witnesses described the suspected vehicle as an older model station wagon with a headlight out, occupied by two males. Police said they believe the suspects used an ax during the crimes. Columbus Twp.

Criminal mischief. Corry-based state police reported damage caused by a dent consistent with a footprint on the rear hatch near the license plate of a 2000 Chrysler Voyager van is estimated at $500. Police said it happened Wednesday or Thursday of last week. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police in Corry.

Public drunkenness. Warren City Police said Adam Peterson, 26, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on April 13 after police were called to a man passed out on the sidewalk.

Crash. Warren City Police said Ellen Carlson, 80, Warren, was cited for traffic control signals on April 16 following a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Conewango and Fifth avenues after she failed to stop at a steady red light.

Terroristic threats. Warren City Police said Earnest Younce, 68, Warren, was charged with intimidation of witness/victim, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and retaliation against witness or victim after he was seen making threats on April 17 to victims of another case he is involved with.

Charged. Warren City Police said Katelin Kuzminski, 20, Warren, was charged with endangering the welfare of children on April 17 after her two minor children were found outside at a park without proper outerwear and unsupervised in 40-degree weather.

Cited. Warren City Police said Courtney Chamberlain, 30, Warren, was cited for unlawful to allow dogs to run at large on April 18 after two previous warnings in the last two months for the same offense.

Crash. Warren City Police said Taylor Christie, 28, Warren, was cited for obedience to traffic control devices and operating vehicle without financial responsibility following a two-vehicle accident on April 18 at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Dartmouth Street after he struck a vehicle that was stopped for a turn.

DUI. Warren City Police said Cleiton Knappenberger, 23, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI – .16 percent first offense and duties at stop signs following a traffic stop on April 20 when he failed to stop completely at a stop sign.

Possession. Warren City Police said a juvenile male, 17, Wilcox, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after police were called to a domestic dispute at a local restaurant on April 21.

Public drunkenness. Warren City Police said Rob Baker, 31, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on April 23 after police were called to a report of a man having trouble walking and having fallen.

Threat. Pennsylvania State Police are looking for information about an incident that caused a lock-down at Warren Area High School at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday. A threat was found on a bathroom wall. Police, including a K-9 unit, conducted a search, “with a negative result.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Warren State Police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Youngsville

Drugs. Youngsville police are investigating a Thursday, April 10, incident at Youngsville High School in which a 17-year-old male student was found to be in possession of a controlled substance that police said was not prescribed to him. The drug was sent to Erie Regional Crime Lab. Police said charges will be filed through juvenile probation.

Assault. Youngsville Police said a “client at the youth treatment center on East Main Street” assaulted a woman who was working there at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday, April 17. Police said the victim had visible bruises and scratches on her arms and body and reported being kicked in the kidney area. Police said simple assault charges would be filed through juvenile probation.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Underage. Richard Dylan Foley, 20, was cited for underage drinking after police said they found him to be under the influence of alcohol at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday, on an oil lease road in Brokenstraw Township, while talking to him about another incident.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Crash. Pennsylvania State Police said Wanda L. Chase, 50, of Sugar Grove, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday on Route 27 south of Patchen Hollow Road. According to police, Chase’s car was traveling north when it left the road onto the northbound shoulder, re-entered the road, rotated clockwise, left the same side of the road, entered a ditch and traveled another 90 feet before coming to rest. Chase was taken to Warren General Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, police said, and cited for a violation of roadways laned for traffic.

Erie County

Crash. Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 8:27 a.m. Monday in Union Township, Erie County. According to Pennsylvania State Police, a vehicle driven by Brandy M. Deist, 35, of Grand Valley, left the road and entered a ditch. Two passengers, Rachel J. Troyer, 26, and Nancy Byler, 45, both of Spartansburg, received minor injuries in the crash and were taken to St. Vincent Health System in Erie. Deist was cited for a violation of roadways laned for traffic.

Charged. City of Warren police charged Brittany Breon, 23, Clarendon, with criminal mischief following an investigation of an incident in March where a vehicle was vandalized causing over $600 damage.

Charged. City of Warren police charged Ronald Libengood, 59, Warren, with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property on April 8 after police said he was found in possession of a bicycle that had been allegedly stolen in March.

Charged. City of Warren police charged Raymond Shaffer Jr., 24, Warren, with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property on April 8 following an investigation.

Cited. City of Warren police cited John Magda, 50, and Merikay McDunn, 52, both of Warren, for harassment following a domestic dispute on April 7.

Charged. City of Warren police charged Jacqueline Zaner, 25, Warren, with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, causing or risking catastrophe, and recklessly endangering another person on April 9 after officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute.

Cited. City of Warren police cited Johnathan Mooney, 26, Warren, and Cherokee Hamilton, 27, Clarendon, for disorderly conduct engage in fighting on April 9 following a fight. Police said Mooney was retained by Warren County Adult Probation.

Cited. City of Warren police cited Kelly Johnson, 24, Youngsville, for flashing signals following a two-car crash April 10 at Pennsylvania Avenue and Hickory Street.

Cited. City of Warren police cited Tammy Peters, 47, Warren, for disposal of animal feces on April 10. Police said Peters allowed her dog to defecate on a neighbor’s yard after being previously warned not to.

Cited. City of Warren police cited Daniel Wiles, 22, Warren, for burning outdoors on April 10 after city firefighters were called to a reported fire which turned out to be burning yard debris.

Cited. City of Warren police cited Jessie Cottrell, 32, Warren, for burning outdoors on April 10 after a complaint that he was burning trash in his yard.

Brokenstraw Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident at 7:02 p.m. April 20 on Dunns Eddy Road. According to police, the driver’s side mirror of a vehicle operated by Duane Smithers, 35, Warren, struck the driver’s side mirror of a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Police said damage to both vehicles was minor and that the other driver was able to drive the vehicle away from the scene. Police said Smithers was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and transported to the PSP station for testing; police said breath results showed his BAC to be above the legal limit. Police said Smithers faces three counts of DUI, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, careless driving and other summary violations. Charges will be filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Pleasant Twp.

Mischief. Warren-based state police are looking for information into a series of destructive acts between 10:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17 and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19 in which someone put homemade explosives into numerous mailboxes iduring the nighttime hours. According to police, the explosive were “works bombs” made with household items. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Sugar Grove

Drug Possession. Warren based state police said on April 16, at 8:36 pm., at 115 Valley Park Drive, police responded to a report of a verbal domestic dispute between William Joseph Howell, 36, Sugar Grove and a known female. Upon arrival, Howell was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Drug Possession charges will be filed against Howell at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Brokenstraw Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police said on April 16, at 12:30 pm. they conducted a traffic stop on Douglas Haight, 21, Warren, for a minor traffic violation. Upon further investigation Haight was found to be DUI and in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Charges pending in this investigation with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth for DUI, small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Conewango Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police said on April 5 at 6:10 pm. at Warren State Hospital, Brittany Schlaak, 23, Warren, subjected a 27-year-old person from Kane to physical contact by pulling her hair and biting her left index finger. Police said the victim suffered minor injury as a result of the altercation. Police said charges are pending against Schlaak for harassment through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

DUI Crash. Conewango Township police reported that on April 10 at 11 p.m. police were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Market Street and Timothy Avenue. Police said Larry Timblin told them that he was traveling north on Market Street when another vehicle drove across the turning lane and struck the front of his F-150. Police spoke with the other driver, Kimberly Tome, Warren, who stated she did not remember the crash and admitted to drinking prior to the crash. Police said Tome was transported to Warren General Hospital and was subsequently charged with DUI and several traffic violations. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Eldred Twp.

Theft/criminal mischief. Warren-based state police said between noon April 8 and midnight on April 10 at the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department someone bypassed the outer locking mechanism of a soda machine gaining access to the inside of the machine. Police said the coin dispenser was damaged and an estimated $150 in coins and paper money was taken. Damage estimated at $200, according to police.

Arrested. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Melissa Bailey, 32, 901 Lincoln Ave., at 3:30 p.m. April 15 on a warrant issued by District Justice Strohmeyer in Erie on a charge of retail theft. Bailey was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson, paid fines and cost and was released.

Deerfield Twp.

Arrested. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Wayne Glasgow, 23, 4955 Route 27, Garland, at 10:45 a.m. April 15 on a warrant issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson on a charge of harassment with physical contact. Glasgow was taken before Carlson, then remanded to the Warren County Jail.

Pine Grove Twp.

Scattering rubbish. Warren-based state police said between March 29 and April 14 someone discarded a refrigerator and a couch on the property owned by the Pine Grove Surgery Center without permission. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Clarendon

Arrested. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Linda Vinopal, 25, 1 Anchor St., at 1:30 p.m. April 15 on a warrant issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson for driving while under suspension. Vinopal was taken before Carlson and then released pending further court action.

Tidioute

Charged. Tidioute Borough Police said Timothy Pickard, 30, Sharon, was charged with theft by deception and bad checks on April 15. Police said Pickard issued a check from a closed account to Polly’s Market on Jan. 24 for $407.89. Police said charges were filed at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Youngsville

Burglary. Roger Young Jr., Youngsville, reported to Youngsville Borough Police that between 8 p.m. April 10 and 9:50 p.m. April 11 someone entered a shed behind his house and stole approximately $300 worth of trout fishing lures. Anyone with information is asked to contact the borough police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Harassment. Warren-based state police responded to a Morrison Hill Road residence at 4:31 a.m. April 12. Police said Constance Marie O’Connell, 47, Erie, and Jeffrey Joseph Grove, 47, Erie, entered into a verbal argument that became physical in nature. Police said a charge of harassment was filed against both O’Connell and Grove.

Glade Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Conewango Avenue at the Holly Apartments entrance at 3:56 p.m. April 12. Police said the crash occurred as a 2006 Hyundai Azera SE, driven by Lisa Franklin, Warren, was stopped in the southbound lane waiting for northbound traffic to clear to turn left into a private parking lot. Police said a 2002 Dodge Stratus, driven by John Chimenti, 65, Warren, failed to stop and rear-ended Franklin’s vehicle. Police said no injuries were reported at the scene. Chimenti’s vehicle was driven from the scene, but Franklin’s had to be towed. Police said Chimenti was cited with following to closely; charges were filed though District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Limestone Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that someone vandalized property on the outside of a camp belonging to Christine Borodycia, Pittsburgh, between March 20 and April 14. Police said besides cutting a propane line and a trampoline, the suspect also spray painted “payback” on Borodycia’s camp. Police said damage is estimated at approximately $610. Anyone with information is asked to call state police.

Pleasant Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that at 7:10 a.m. April 10 Benjamin C. Hanes, 23, Warren, was stopped on Route 6 at Main Avenue and was found to be under the influence of controlled substances. Police said Hanes was taken into custody for further evaluation and a blood test. Police said charges will be filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Youngsville

Weapon. On April 14, Youngsville Borough Police investigated an incident that occurred after school at Youngsville Elementary Middle School, involving a13-year-old female, in possession of a knife on the school playground. Police said it was alleged that the knife was used later to threaten two other known male juveniles. Police said charges have been filed with Juvenile Probation.

Arrested. Pennsylvania State Constables said Jacob Spinney, 224 N. Carver St., was arrested at 1 p.m. April 10 on a warrant issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson for three counts of driving without a license. Spinney was taken before Carlson and remanded to the Warren County Jail.

Arrested. Pennsylvania State Constables said Ashley Wojtkiewicz, 224 N. Carver St., was arrested at 1 p.m. April 10 on a warrant issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson for driving without a license. Wojtkiewicz was taken before Carlson, paid fines and cost, and was released.

Arrested. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies said they arrested Matthew Morse, 29, 292 Falconer St., Apt. 3, Jamestown, N.Y., at 3:30 p.m. April 11 at 407 Market St. Deputies said Morse was arrested for an alleged violation of a PFA order that occurred in Sugar Grove Township. The order of protection was issued by Jamestown, N.Y., City Court. Deputies said Morse was placed in the Warren County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Freehold Twp.

Theft. Corry-based state police said they are investigating the loss of a black-colored .22LR Taurus semi-automatic pistol owned by Trevor Messinger, 21, 39750 Route 6, Bear Lake, between 8:30 and 10 p.m. April 6. Police said the pistol may have been stolen from Messinger’s driveway or found on Route 6. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.

Youngsville

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one vehicle accident on April 10 at 5:47 a.m. on N. Main St. at its intersection with 8th St. A 1996 Chevrolet K1500 driven by Matthew Gates, 37, Corry, was traveling north on N. Main St. and became distracted by the headlights of an oncoming vehicle and did not see a 2004 Ford Escape that was legally parked on the east side of the roadway. According to police, initial impact occurred as Gates’ vehicle struck the Escape, causing the Escape to be spun around 180 degrees. Gates’ vehicle pushed the Escape approximately 60 feet before both vehicles came to rest on the sidewalk on the east side of the roadway. Gates was charged with roadways laned for traffic. No injuries were reported.

According to police, Peter Luczyek, 29, Bear Lake, and Edward Thorton, 35, Youngsville, struck each other in the face during an argument. Police said charges will be filed through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Glade Twp.

Investigation. Warren-based state police were alerted to an incident of theft, fraud and forgery that occurred at 3:07 p.m. on April 8. According to police, an 83-year-old male filed his 2013 tax return electronically in late March and was notified that it was rejected due to an unknown individual using his Social Security number on an already-issued tax return. Police said the IRS and Federal Trade Commission were contacted to continue the investigation.

Sheffield Twp.

Charged. Warren-based state police said Kyle Kitchell, 21, Glade Township, was cited for harassment after a 19-year-old female from Sheffield Township received multiple text messages from him at 2 a.m. April 6 after being told to stop texting her six times.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Crash, DUI. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Mathews Run Road, one mile south of Route 69, at 6:10 a.m. April 9. According to police, Jody Falconer, 35, Youngsville, was northbound in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and struck the guardrail on the east berm, causing heavy damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. Police said it was determined that Falconer was under the influence of alcohol; he was transported to the PSP station where he submitted to a breath test, which showed he was over the legal limit. Police said charges of DUI will be filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Brokenstraw Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police report on April 5 at 3:33 a.m., Michael Gavin, 34, of Morrisville, PA, was stopped for a traffic violation at the intersection of Rt. 6 and Mead Run Rd. At that time, he was found to be DUI. Charges were file through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Clarendon

Arrest Warrant. Warren-based state constables report Sarah Schwartztrauber, 21, of Clarendon, was arrested on April 10 at 10 a.m. on warrants issued for harassment with physical contact and two counts of purchasing alcohol by a minor. Schwartztrauber was released pending further court action.

Glade Twp.

Missing Person Update. Warren-based state police report Cindy Ailes, of Warren, reported missing on April 7, has been located and is reportedly safe.

Sugar Grove Boro

Theft. Warren-based state police report on two separate occasions, March 17 at 2 p.m. and April 1 at 6:45 p.m., two men got out of their vehicle, entered Kwik Fill and purchased a few items. After leaving the store, the men pumped gas into their vehicle and then left the station without paying for the gas. An investigation continues.

Youngsville

Theft. Warren-based state police report on April 9 at 2:21 p.m., a white female with sandy-colored hair was found looking for scrap metal on a N. Main St. residential property. When confronted by the victim, the suspect picked up some copper wire, placed it in the truck she was driving and drove off. An investigation continues.

Charged. Warren City Police said Deborah Suppa, 59, Warren, was charged with DUI and DUI .16 percent or higher on March 23 after they responded to a report that a vehicle was stuck in a driveway.

Charged. Warren City Police said Mitchal Peterson, 21, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI .10 percent to .16 percent, careless driving, driving on right side of roadway and driving on roadways laned for traffic on March 28 following a traffic accident in which a vehicle had struck a tree on Elm Street.

Charged. Warren City Police said Taylor Humes, 21, Warren, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on March 27 stemming from an incident on March 11 after his employer called police to report he had been found in possession of the paraphernalia.

Charged. Warren City Police said Stephanie Baum, 20, and Douglas Muzzy, 23, both of Warren, were charged with a violation of a PFA after they both violated their respective PFAs on March 31. Police said Baum was remanded to the Warren County Jail on $2,000 bail and Muzzy was remanded to the jail on $25,000 bail.

Charged. Warren City Police said Andrew Ryan, 33, Warren, was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief on April 2 after police received a report of a man walking down the street carrying a street sign.

Charged. Warren City Police said James Scott, 55, Warren, was charged with terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and public drunkenness on April 4 after he called 911 and threatened bodily harm to people known to him. Police said he was arraigned and placed in the Warren County Prison on $2,500 bail.

Charged. Warren City Police said Timothy Edwards, 47, Warren, was charged with terroristic threats with intent to terrorize on April 5 after police responded to an active domestic dispute. Police said he was arraigned and placed in the Warren County Prison on $2,500 bail.

Cited. Warren City Police said Anthony Jashureck Jr., 43, and Brian Jashureck, 19, both of Warren, were cited for harassment following a domestic dispute.

Clarendon

DUI. On April 5 at 10:48 p.m., Warren-based state police stopped a vehicle operated by Rocky Jordan, 57, of Clarendon at the intersection Anchor and Weaver Streets. Jordan was stopped for a traffic violation and was suspected of driving under the influence at the time of the stop. Police report Jordan was placed under arrest and taken to the Warren barracks for processing. Two counts of DUI, careless driving, and summary traffic violations were charged against Jordan in District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Glade Twp.

Missing Person. Warren-based state police report on April 4 at 8 a.m., Cindy Lee Ailes, 56, of Warren failed to show-up for an appointment and has yet to be heard from. Police report Ailes is 5′ 7″ tall, weighing 155 lbs., with red hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a tan sweater, with an unknown color undershirt, blue jeans, tan clogs, and a tan and black striped purse. She was driving a gold 2005 Nissan Maxima bearing PA Registration HZV2138 and two rear bumper stickers. If anyone has any information regarding her wereabouts, please contact the Warren-based state police.

Pittsfield Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police report an accident occurred on Rt. 6 just east of the Rt. 27 split in Pittsfield on April 3 at 10:02 p.m. According to police, the vehicle operated by Russell Anderson, 45, of Bear Lake, left the roadway and became stuck in the ditch between the eastbound shoulder of Rt. 6 and the railway tracks. Police said Anderson fled the scene on foot, eventually obtaining a ride from a passerby into the City of Warren. Upon further investigation, the identity of the driver was obtained and verified. It was also discovered, due to witness testimony, the accused was under the influence at the time of the crash. Two charges of DUI, careless driving and roadways laned for traffic will be filed against the accused in District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Sheffield Twp.

Alcohol to minors. Warren-based state police report on April 4 at 9:39 p.m., Tyler Whitney, 21, of Sheffield, was found to have provided a 19-year-old male with beer while at the Sheffield Boat Launch. Police report Whitney was also found to be in possession of a glass marijuana smoking pipe containing marijuana residue. Charges will be filed in District Justice Glenn Carlson’s office.

Underage drinking. Warren-based state police report on April 4 at 9:39 p.m. Christian Misulich, 19, of Tiona, was found to be in possession of an open16 oz. can of beer while at the Sheffield Boat Launch. He will be charged via non-traffic citation through the office of District Justice Glenn Carlson.

Columbus Twp.

Theft. Corry-based state police said between April 1 and 2 and between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. someone arrived at the residence of Richard Alonza Bunce, 57, Market Street, Corry, and removed one Minn Kota 12 volt electric trolling motor, black in color, valued at approximately $50. The stolen item had been left in front of Bunce’s residence, as it was being offered for sale as part of a yard sale. The unknown person then fled the scene undetected in an unknown direction by unknown means. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Corry.

Sheffield

PFA Violation. Warren-based state police said on April 6, at 2 a.m. A known female victim, 20, Sheffield, came to the state police to report that her ex-boyfriend, Kyle Kitchel, 20, Warren, has been texting and calling her and there is an active PFA between Kitchel and the victim. While the victim was on station at state police, Kitchel came to police to turn himself in for the PFA Violation. Kitchel was taken into custody and arraigned in front of MDJ Carlson. Bail was set at $25,000 and Kitchel was transported to Warren County Jail.

Youngsville

Accident. Youngsville Borough Police report that on Friday, March 28, at approximately 12:31 p.m. a motor vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Route 6 and Thatchers Lane in Youngsville when a 2010 Jeep operated by Randall York, 55, of Sugar Grove, collided with a 2013 Kia operated by Amanda Baine, age 32 of Corry. York was attempting to enter Route 6 while Baine was making a legal left turn off of Route 6 onto Thatchers Lane when York’s vehicle struck the driver’s door of Baine’s vehicle. Baine’s vehicle was towed from the scene and she and an infant child were transported to Warren General Hospital for minor injuries. York was charged with a stop sign violation and charges have been filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s Office.

Disorderly Conduct. A 15-year-old student at Youngsville High School is being cited for disrupting his class on March 25. Youngsville Borough Police said the student flipped over a desk and threatened to punch other students while they were working on an assignment together. Charges have been filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.

Assault. A Youngsville Police officer was requested to a local business store parking lot to assist two female staff members from a treatment facility who were being physically assaulted by a juvenile subject inside a motor vehicle. The subject was restrained and transported to their facility without any further altercation.

Harassment. The parent of a 16-year-old female from Sheffield reported to Youngsville Police that her daughter is being harassed in school by another student. Police are still investigating this incident.

Cherry Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said on April 3, at 2:20 p.m. on Minister Road six tenths of a mile south of Hearts Content Road, Jarrod J. Roberts, 23, Titusville, and Scott Hutchinson, 19, Centerville, were both working for a tree trimming service. Hutchinson was standing at the rear of a parked pickup truck refueling a saw. Roberts was approaching the rear of a parked vehicle when his foot slipped off of the brake and hit the accelerator. The front of Robert’s vehicle struck Hutchinson and the parked vehicle, pinning Hutchinson between the two vehicles. Hutchinson was transported to Warren General Hospital by Sheffield Ambulance with moderate leg injuries. Police said Roberts will be cited for careless driving.

Farmington Twp.

Drugs. Warren-based state police said on April 3, at 2:27 p.m. state police were contacted regarding a drug related incident. Upon arrival, a known 15 year old male, Russell, was found to be in possession of small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia while on Eisenhower Middle High School property. Drug Possession and Paraphernalia charges against the accused will be filed and handled through Warren County Juvenile Probation office.

Theft. Warren-based state police report on April 2 between 8 and 11 a.m., someone removed several pieces of stainless steel chimney pipe without permission from a property at the intersection of Althom and Ferry roads. Brokenstraw Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 10:20 p.m. March 25. According to police, Rosann Wheeler, 63, Saint Marys, was traveling west on Route 6 and lost control of her 2013 GMC Terrain, which traveled off the north side of the roadway and down an embankment. The vehicle hit a wire fence and continued traveling west where the front of the vehicle hit a tree. Police said Wheeler, who sustained minor injuries, charged with unsafe speed.

Conewango Twp.

Criminal mischief. Conewango Township police said between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on April 1, in the Monro Muffler parking lot, North Warren, someone broke the passenger side rearview mirror off a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM owned by Joanna Mennetti, Sugar Grove. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.

Glade Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said on March 26 at 12:03 pm. Jeanna Winslow, 32, Warren, was eastbound on Hatch Run Road when Nykki Ekas, 23, Warren, made a left turn in her 2013 Dodge Dart from the intersection at Conewango Avenue, directly into the path of Winslow’s vehicle. Police said Winslow collided with Ekas head-on, causing Ekas’ vehicle to spin approximately 180 degrees, coming to a stop facing west in the eastbound lane of Hatch Run Road. Upon impact, Winslow’s vehicle completed a 360-degree spin before leaving the westbound shoulder of Hatch Run Road, coming to a stop in a ditch. Police said Winslow and Ekas sustained moderate injuries as a result of the crash. Warren City EMS, EmergyCare and Glade volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.

Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said on March 25 at 4 a.m. Christina Potter, 37, Warren, was traveling west on Chapman Dam Road, four miles west of Farnsworth Road and lost control of her 2006 Pontiac G6 while negotiating a left curve. Potter’s vehicle traveled off the roadway and traveled 108 feet along the north berm. Police said Potter attempted to regain control, causing her vehicle to travel 74 feet across the roadway then traveling 60 feet over the south embankment striking a tree. Police said Potter’s vehicle then traveled six feet and hit a second tree with its right side rear. Police said Potter was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Simple trespass. Warren-based state police said between 7 a.m. March 17 and 7 a.m. March 19 Frank Hunter, 71, Warren, entered the property of Daniel Page, 50, Tiona, while his residence was under the care of a third party. Police said upon his arrival home, Page was informed that Hunter had been on his property without his permission. Police said Hunter was informed by Page not to come onto the property previously. Police said charges of simple trespass were filed against Hunter through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Underage consumption of alcohol. Warren-based state police said on March 29 at 12:55 a.m. two Sheffield females, ages 17 and 15, were found to have consumed alcohol when a security check of the business in the Sears parking lot, Route 6, discovered several individuals standing in the parking lot around a parked car.

Pittsfield Twp.

Theft by deception. Warren-based state police said on March 28 at 9:08 a.m. Bonnie Lou Curry, 49, Pittsfield, attempted to sell her laptop online. Police said Curry shipped her laptop expecting payment after shipping, but failed to receive payment.

Pine Grove Twp.

Charged. Warren-based state police said on Oct. 25, 2013 Adam James Mintzer, 27, Warren, made false statements when he filled out both state and federal paperwork when attempting to buy a handgun at Tall Tales Sporting Goods Store. Police Mintzer was denied the handgun purchase via the “PICS” check. Police said charges of unsworn falsification to authorities and sale or transfer of firearms were filed against Mintzer at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Youngsville

Hit and run. Warren-based police said on March 23 at 12:05 p.m. Nadine Jewell, 44, Russell, was stopped at the red light at the intersection of Route 6 and W. Main St. Police said Shawn O’Grady, 27, Warren, failed to stop and rear-ended Jewell’s vehicle. Police said O’Grady and Jewell both pulled to the side of the roadway to exchange information, but O’Grady failed to exchange information and fled the scene eastbound on Route 6. Police said O’Grady and his vehicle were located at his residence a short time later. Police said O’Grady is being charged with hit and run and several other traffic violations. There were no injuries.
