Last call to register for Nature Art Showcase

The Council on Greenways & Trails is announcing their final call for artists to showcase their art in the Nature Art Showcase, to be Feb. 6 and 7 at the Barrow Civic Theater in Franklin. Spots are filling fast and are limited with a registration deadline of Monday. The annual event explores artist’s connections and perspectives of the outdoors, giving way for an opportunity to express and share the natural beauty with the community. TEA Party seeks youth participants

Michelle Erdt, regional director of Club America, the high school arm of Turning Point USA, will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA (Totally Engaged American) Patriots on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. A chapter is being formed at Jamestown High School. Students of the newly formed club will have a table set up about their chapter. Outdoor club to hike Sunday On Sunday, Nov. 23, members of the Allegheny Outdoor CLub will hike on the Little Drummer Historical Pathway, near Ridgway. The hike is rated as 3.1 easy miles. Parts of the trail around the pond are frequently wet, so waterproof shoes or boots are recommended. Meet at Musante Street in Warren at 1 p.m. Tom Patterson is the leader for this event.
