Here are some upcoming events at the Tidoute Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
-- Tidioute VFW Post 8803 meetings are held the second Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. The next meeting is Oct. 11 at the post.
-- VFW Post 8803 Auxiliary Meetings are the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be Oct. 20 at the post.
--- Monday night Bingo is every Monday evening, except holidays. Doors and kitchen open at 5 p.m. Jackpot Tickets go on sale at 6 with games starting at 6:30. Open to the public, please come out and enjoy an evening.
-- Public Retail Auction to be held Thursday, Nov. 5. Doors open at 5 p.m., auction begins at 6. Auction will be by the Hennigh Auction Co. Arrive early to view merchandise and get a good seat. There will be all kinds of great merchandise. The kitchen will be open for your enjoyment.
-- Turkey Shoots are on Nov. 7, 14 and 21, sponsored by the VFW. Shoots will be held at the Tidioute Bucktails Shooting Range. Shoots begin at 10 a.m. and go until finished. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Our shells, your shotgun (12 gauge). Multiple rounds will be held, prizes for each round. Refreshments will be available.
-- A Veterans' Day celebration will be Wednesday, Nov. 11. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. Breakfast is $10, but free for Veterans. Ceremony to be at 11. Breakfast and ceremony will be at VFW Post 8803, 93 Main St., Tidioute.
The VFW is always looking for new Post members and Auxiliary Members. Also, looking for those who are already members to become active again. Come out and support the VFW and the veterans who served and are serving our country.
