Community breakfast
A free community breakfast will be at Russell United Methodist Church, 17 S. Main St., Russell, from 8 to 10 a.m. Pancakes, eggs, sausages, juice and coffee will be available. Everyone is welcome.
Vegetarian Society meets
JAMESTOWN -- It's Pumpkin Spice season! The September meeting of the Chautauqua Vegetarian Society will include a presentation about the joy of “pumpkin spice” seasonings. Learn about the nutritional benefits of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and other warming fall spices, as well as how to include them more in your recipes.
The meeting will take place Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. It will be meeting at the Jamestown Seventh Day Adventist Church, on McDaniel Street in Jamestown.
There will be a Vegan potluck luncheon. Please bring a vegan dish to share (no meat, dairy, or eggs). The cost will be $2 if you bring a dish, or $6 without a dish.
