Wilds Sonshine Factory will welcome visitors for its fourth annual PA State Sunflower Festival from Friday to Sunday for a celebration of Pennsylvania's rich agricultural heritage, rural communities and the growing economic impact of rural tourism.
The event will be at 3480 Route 6, West Kane.
What began in 2023 as part of Wilds Sonshine Factory's Grand Opening has grown into a much-anticipated annual event that continues to draw thousands of visitors to the area. The inaugural festival welcomed approximately 2,000 people over three days. In 2024, attendance tripled to roughly 6,000 visitors, followed by 2025 when approximately 9,000 people attended.
Now, as WSF prepares for the 2026 festival, organizers anticipate bringing even more visitors to the region -- and, most importantly, more traffic and new customers to the small rural businesses that help make the community unique.The PA State Sunflower Festival is about much more than sunflowers. It shines a spotlight on the agricultural roots of Pennsylvania while creating an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to experience rural tourism firsthand.
For small rural businesses, that increased visibility can make a meaningful difference. Visitors who come for the sunflowers may stay for a meal, shop with a local vendor, visit another attraction or return for a future visit -- creating a ripple effect throughout the local economy.
With the 4th Annual PA State Sunflower Festival, Wilds Sonshine Factory is gearing up for an action-packed weekend filled with live music, food trucks, vendors, sunflowers and a (Sunday only) car-bike show.
As the festival continues to grow, so does its potential to introduce thousands of visitors to the people, businesses, agriculture and wide-open spaces that make rural Pennsylvania special.
The sunflowers may be what brings people in -- but the community is what keeps them coming back.
